Cant wait to finally see the goose in a devils uni and hopefully he can have a similar impact to the breadman but keeping my expectations in check just in case. |

Was just going to say it's not training camp until Stafford is there on a PTO, but I just noticed he's already on one with the Wild. We may have finally seen the last of Drew. |

If Zacha pans out we could be a pretty sick team now that he is locked in for 3 years.
Im not saying he will but I am optimistic he can vs the mind frame that he is what he is.
Im not sure how much pp time he has gotten over his career but i dont recall it ever being much and even if he did recieve enough to get a fair assement we havent really had the horses for a true 2nd pp unit.
I also think he had players like Stafford stapled to his wing or players of that ilk.
Finally he has all the tools. He isnt a bad skater at all he has a damn good shot and he can carry the puck. Give him some more offensive oppertunities with better linemates and I cant see his totals not going up.
Kevin Rooney could never ever do to Ekblad what Pavs did. |

I mean should an assist on a Drew Stafford goal not be worth 2 points lol?
One last positive about Zacha is he has improved each year and ended the year quite well and thats all you can ask. Might not be 15 pts improvements but he isnt 25 either lol I remember hanging on to the Reid Boucher dreams for years Zacha is 22 and some have already completely written him off and having next to nothing defensively to learn he has from age 22 to 25 to pretty much round out his offensive game.
Now if he doesnt thats fine to because the contract is still worth his defensive worth. |

Anyone else here think Bastian could possibly be able to put up similiar numbers to Tom Wilson ? Wilson has some soft hands and skates quite well for a big man. I see similarities in the soft touches around the net and the skating.
I dont think he will ever have the same snarl or K.O power but has anyone else seen these traits and thought if everything went well he could be a 2nd line player?
I do agree the safer bet is he is a 3rd or 4th liner but there is something that makes me think maybe lol.
To be honest ive felt from day one he has looked more comfortable then Mcleod and has been able to make more with his oppertunities then mikey. |

Hypothetical here but if the goose can come in an ease the loss of a Hall would it make any sense to try to swing a Hall for like a Gibson type deal ? Im guess we would add but there would be 0 questions in net and the back end is rounding out nicely. My only concern is im invested in seeing what Blackwood can become.
I just thought it was a little different thought process then trying to swap him for Marner and could have even better results. |
