Didn't make it to the Ducks game yesterday but went to the Avs / Kings game today. Sat (right on the glass) on the side where the Kings shoot twice. The whole team played well but I had a few stand out observations.
1. JAD - Played very well. Generated chances with his speed and physical play. Looked a lot like a young Dustin Brown to me.
2. Liszotte and Eyssimont looked really good today. Feet just always moving and really quick in the O zone.
3. Kupari - Always looks really skilled and today was not different.
4. Sodergran - Was a player I was pleasantly surprised with. He has size and boy does this guy have wheels. This guy could be a steal as a 6th round pick.
5. Durzi - Looks poised. Will be a solid D man a few years down the road.
6. Mikey Anderson - Very sold D.
7. Contantinou - Was watching this guy very closely because he really wants to be signed. I thought he played very well. Scored a goal. Made a few defensive mistakes but he is young and that is to be expected.
8. Austin Strand - Okay. This was the biggest eye opener for me. This guy will be an LA Kings D man a few years from now. He has all the right skills. He is 6'4" but he skates really will for his size. Shoot he skates well for any size. Great shot and he was really tough on the opposition tonight. Maybe a little too aggressive because he took a few penalties but he can be dialed back a bit. Really impressed with this guy.

Anyway my daughter and I had a great time at the game. I'm pumped up for another year of hockey.

Curious if you want to change your opinion of Austin Strand after today's outing.

Yeah. The D needs some seasoning, but he definately has offensive upside.
