As a kid I remember hearing how goalies were often very weird personalities. The Devils had pretty normal guys in Chico, Burke and Marty. Tim Thomas sort of reinvigorated that stereotype.
No denying was a great goalie, but an odd duck. Although pretty normal compared to Bryzgalov. Loved watching his unique approach and aggressive style. |

He talked about some serious concussions in his last year, sounds like he really was suffering, explains him being uncomforable around crowds. He also may have had problems with the sudden fame that came from his success. I'll always love the way he came up, never gave up on his dream.
