Glad you decided to stick around, Bill. Your year-round blogs here keep us informed, and it’s great that the alumni recognize and acknowledge all that you do for them, too. Enjoy this weekend and the Fantasy Camp. |

2006!? It’s been that long? I’ve enjoyed every read Bill. I have a very involved job and family life, but your blog is the only hockey news I consistently have followed. Hats off to you and I too am glad you made the decision to stay. |

Hi Bill and Friends. I’m just wondering when the Flyers are going to make a trade on defense. I have the top 6 penciled in as Provorov, Ghost, Niskanen, Braun, Sanheim, and Myers. That leaves Morin and Hagg watching from the sidelines. Neither will clear waivers so to me it makes more sense to trade one for the elusive RW you have been talking about in your last few articles. I was thinking Hagg plus a conditional pick based on signing and performance for puljujarvi.
I know he hasn’t done much but he has also been mishandled. I believe the skills are there and he could make a Lindblom-Patrick-Puljujarvi line a deep scoring threat that is good defensively.
Thoughts? |

So glad you went with your heart and stayed with us... I hate to think of following our Flyers without you... and not having you around for the upcoming Cup Run over the near(ish) horizon. Please keep up the good work with the knowledge that you are greatly appreciated by so many. |

A GREAT job doesn't necessarily pay more than you need but gives you everything you want.
Gaining acclaim in a community of people that YOU like is a lot more gratifying than being 'respected' in a shark tank.
When that appreciation becomes mutual, balance prevails and sleep is easier.
You should sleep well, Bill.
I am willing to bet your kid will respect you all the more when he understands what you didn't do and why.
Happy to see you did discuss this with the spouse. She reads like a soulmate. |

A friend of mine told me he knows a guy who's uncle's wife's brother knows a guy close to Provorov, and confirmed this.
They also confirmed Provorov hates Tacos
I say trade him! Do we really want a guy who hates Tacos on this team? |

Im glad you made the decision you did Bill.
Your writings are the only reason I come to this site as I rarely read other teams blogs. And I keep coming back despite the negative aspects in the comments.

They don't have to trade a defenseman.
Pass on Puljujarvi and definitely wouldn't play him on the 3rd line with Patrick and Lindblom. How does Puljujarvi add up to a good defensive line? |

Bill, I really appreciate what you do. Thank you. Your writing is the best. Money isn’t everything, but I do hope that the Flyers continue to take good care of you and treat you well. They have to realize that you are a great asset and the best.

So the Canes got Priskie which is strange because like the Flyers they also have a logjam on the blue line. I can’t imagine that they are giving him any guarantees that he will play this season. |

Bit of a strange signing from the players standpoint when that is taken in to account. Its certainly not about the money since the money would be the same anywhere he went.
Plus by a lot of accounts, that franchise is on the verge of being a trainwreck if the stories about the owner are true. |

There are 4RHD ahead of him on the Canes. Hamilton, Pesci, Faulk and TVR. How is he going to play? |
