Hopefully. Between the rookie fade and last years injury it's reasonable to expect more. Lets see what actually happens....
On paper this team looks really nice but I want to see them on the ice! |

yea man. on paper things look golden, but only if 75% of that gold pans out. Hall, Hischier, Gusev, Hall, Bratt, Hughes, Palmieri.. all have 60+ pt potential, some maybe 70+ pts. Then our bottom 6 could average 40+ pts, while everyone being solid on both ends. The potential is there. Schneider and Blackwood have potential to be a great tandem. Smith, Subban, Butcher, Severson, Vatanen have potential to be very good.
it just all has to come together. I guess you could say that about most teams. |

Certainly all teams have to come together to an extent. It's just in our case the amount of added players and talent seems larger then typical. Especially with Goose and Jack having never played in this league... and potentially Jesper Boqvist and Ty Smith in the same boat.
PK and Simmonds will fit in no problem. They're vets and it's just a matter of how productive and healthy they are. Even Hyden will be fine if he makes the team as far as adjusting OK.
It's gonna be crazy.
Hopefully crazy good, not crazy bad; but that's up to the hockey gods. |

Good thing he is a pass first player and not a premature shooter! |

I think Bratt is a beast. He's got a ton of skill and his poise showed as a rookie. He's only rounding into his NHL form.
I really liked him on Zacha's wing. |

Bratt is gonna have a huge yr!!!! 1 important thing that nobody seems to be mentioning is the added offense that the defense is going to bring. The last couple of yrs having Greene, Lovejoy, Mueller, Santini, & Moore in the lineup has been zero help to the offense. Severson just started putting up good offense last yr. It's been Butcher in a limited 5vs5 role & Sami providing offense from the blue line. Now you've got PK, Sami, Severson, Butcher, Ty, & Carrick all very capable of putting up solid offense. That's gonna be a big boost to all forwards |
