sensarmy where you at? - Snowman X
awwww muffin, are you still upset that almost everyone told you that you were dumb on the top 5 wingers thread?
also, if you're looking at me to comment on Matthews then you obviously haven't figured out that my comment on the other thread was complete sarcasm to prove how dumb your point was. you can't simply look at who had the most pts and say "those are the 5 best wingers/centers/whatever"....otherwise, like I pointed out, Matthews wouldn't be a top 5 center in the east (which he clearly is, despite not being one of the 5 most productive last year).
did I explain that point well enough for you.....or do you need me to draw you a picture with crayons? |

Leeman scores 51 goals, then in part seasons over the next 8 years scores 47 total goals.

How about the quest for 50 games? |
|
|
|
The big question is will Matthews be able to stay healthy? For a big bodied player he plays a very soft game, but still manages to get frequently injured. Its not a knock on him but just a fact and concern. |

I don't think he plays a soft game......granted I don't see him play every game, but the games I've seen him play, he definitely doesn't shy away from contact, goes to the net and into the corners. he's not an OV type guy, who goes out of his way to initiate contact, but I would definitely not characterize his game as "soft" |

If Babcock decides to load up on PP1, Matthews with a bit more ice time 5v5 and more PP time, should get 50 goals. |

Doesn't hit, takes them though. Problem is his entire skillset is in that shoulder that has had 3 seperate injuries. |

And to be fair, there's really only one OV type guy, and that's OV. |

The reason he got hurt was because he drove in front of the net where Trouba teed him up. I don't think he shies away, needs to be a bit more aware of where is though if he's gonna keep that up. |

most young players are like that though.......I'd rather have the guy who plays like that and has to learn to be more aware, than the guy who's a giant pu$$y and runs away from contact |
|

With Kadri gone, Mathews and Tavares will be getting all the ice time they can handle. If they can stay injury free the 50g 100p level should be well within reach. If either goes down for an extended period.......we have a problem Houston. |

At least we have more C depth than we did last year, so hopefully we'd be ok.
In all honesty, how many teams can afford to have their Superstar C out for an extended period of time? |
