Both Lemiuex and ADA would be smart offersheets by any team. Both have value over what majority of 3rd round picks become. I'm nervous this is going to happen.
Like you said Jan, hopefully, NYR can give them two year deals and move forward. There is still time to trade Nam.....even if for only a mid round pick. Preferably, he is traded at deadline for more once youngsters (Howden, Andersson, Chytil) show they can be steady NHL centers, even though I feel Chytil will show he's better at wing. |

Maybe so, but NYR has bright future in a year or so with a ton of talent here now and in next season or two.....cue Miller!
Toronto...not so much, AND Toronto is in win now mode, unlike a rebuilding Ranger team |

Is putting the 11 million dollar man on the 2nd line to throw off other teams? Wouldn’t you want him with the better center? |

Mostly bc the rangers defense is young and unproven. Not bc they are older overpaid trash aside from staal |

Until last week 1/2 of our D was old and overpaid trash. As of now 1/3 of our D is old and overpaid trash! aaand my man Skjei sure has looked both overpaid and like trash last 2 seasons too |

If Skjei can't become what we all think he can be with Trouba, his good friend, as a partner....then Skjei will never reach his potential.
He's got the opportunity to really excel this year. Fingers crossed |

I think Panarin and Zib are as of now the only 2 that can drive a line. I would split them up and call it a 1A/1B. If both are getting 18-20 minutes a night what’s the difference? Would create matchup problems for other teams. |

yep pretty much any team could waltz right in and take them right now if they wanted
fear of pissing the Rangers off must be the only thing stopping them |

Lemieux and ADA can't be offer sheeted from what I've read. I'm with Jan on that one. Give them both a little more for 2 years, that pushes their new contract until after all of the dead cap hits go down. |

Might have to do with service time. Again, I can't really tell you exactly why that is. |

Corey Pronman taking about the World Junior Showcase:
K’Andre Miller, D, New York Rangers
Miller looked like a returning player, being a quality player at both ends of the rink. His size, physicality and skating has always stood out. What I noticed at the camp was his ability to jump up into attacks, to make plays and to impact the transition game more than I did when he was with the USNTDP. He had a good year at Wisconsin, getting power play time and providing a fair amount of offense. “Being quick in transition is a huge part of my game, whether it’s jumping up into a rush or breaking up plays,” said Miller.
“He’s a high-end prospect,” said one scout of Miller. |

They can receive offer sheets. Only those that were offered or filed for arbitration cannot receive an offer sheet. Why Buchnevich couldn’t sign an offer sheet since he was offered arb. |

The one thing I want to see from him this year: Stay healthy. I have zero doubts about any of his skills. The injury last year in a vacuum means jack, but I don't want to see him start to develop a pattern of getting nicked up. I realize that's easier said than done. I just always cringe when an athlete in any sport has an injury like he had. Always a risk it's a long term issue.

I can't say that I'm an expert in NCAA hockey, but that team has to be one of the more stacked for a college team in recent memory, right? Usually you see talent like that on junior teams. |

Looking back at the draft it's crazy that Florida didn't grab Caufield at 13. Now they have Spencer Knight but Bobrovsky forever? I know it's not like Spencer Knight is the starting goalie next year but when you grab a goalie at 13 I assume you want him to play sooner rather than later. |
