Have you ever been critical of your own team? Or at least realistic
Yes, Dan has been critical of the Wild in the past. He is generally right on the pulse of the Wild. And though I think he is looking at it with a little more optimism than me, Dan is not wrong in that the Wild should be a fun team to watch this year.
The idea that the Wild missed the playoffs this past year for the first time in several years, and that the roster is still basically the same as those playoff years, are still a good team in not preposterous. There was a core group that was expected to start lead this team, and when they didn't season after season, changes came. The team's hands have been tied by so major mistakes of the past regime with bad contracts, terrible drafts and really not much in the way of player development in their minor leagues....does this all change overnight? Or even in 1 year?!?
To ask if Dan is ever realistic about the Wild when all he did was post a blog saying a writer FOR A DIFFERENT TEAM acknowledges that the Wild have a couple of Top 10 possible breakout players on their roster for this year is an effing joke! No where did he say that the Wild are a Cup worthy roster this year. He even states that there is no guarantee that they will even be any better. He just pointed out that a writer that covers a different market thinks they have a couple of up-and-comers.
To ask if he has ever been critical of the Wild...well, maybe you should read more of his posts. Are people going to flock (and post) to a blog that is nothing but negativity about THEIR team? Hell no! Yes, Dan will make some fluff blogs on the Wild...but the objective is to get people to read it and discuss. So instead of going after Dan for a blog where all he is doing is pointing out a couple of possible bright spots in what is starting to look like a dark season, try reading the article again and maybe tell us your brilliant ideas on why Fiala and Donato will amount to absolutely useless pieces of trash on the Wild roster. At least then you should be able to give actual reasons to your opinion instead of just posting a sentence that has no actual proof to your reasoning.
