Hello friends. Looking for an honest assessment of Lazar. How does he fit on an NHL 4th line? |

He doesn't.
I mean, he can play and won't hurt you, but it'll be 8 minutes per night of not much happening either way. |

If he's strictly a RW, he has to fight Okslowso for the spot. I assume Kyle wins that spot. Off to Rochester he goes. |

I don’t think janko / Bennett need to go anywhere.
I’m sure there is interest in Brodie. As much as he drives us fans crazy with his appearing lacklustre efforts from time to time and his occasional glaring give away he is still a top pairing 30+ Point great outlet passing defenceman on a cheap 1 year contract. Treliving is just waiting for the right deal. And I agree Brodie isn’t necessarily a cap dump he is a top 6 forward return target to replace frolik.
Frolik is next to go and should be a 100% cap dump. Trade for picks / futures. He doesn’t want to be here obviously the coaching doesn’t see the value he thinks he brings so move on and clear $4.3 mill
Stone boggles me why he is still a flame. We missed the first buy out window and have not found a trade partner. It has been a week since the 2nd buyout window has opened and still nothing. $2.3 mill savings as a buy out or $3.5 mill savings if you trade him for a low level pick (5th rounder)
Frolik and stone together create $6.6 mill- $7.8 mill in addition to the $9.4 mill free now leaving ($16 mill - $17.2 mill) free for Bennett rittich Tkachuk (-/+ whatever Brodie trade creates) |

Stone is still a solid defenseman. They need to figure out what they're doing with everyone else first. If they end up trading Brodie, they're going to need Stone. There's no one else in the system that is really even close to being NHL ready and there are no cheap options out there that would be an upgrade on Stone. Running with only 6 NHL defencemen, 4 of them 22 or under, is a recipe for disaster.
Frolik is also a decent 2nd or 3rd line RW. There's really no reason to just dump him unless they're bringing in someone to take his place. He's also in a contract year so will likely step his game up a bit to make sure he gets another contract.
Unless Tkachuk is holding out for 12 million a year, they probably just end up trading Stone and keeping everyone else. |

Hey! It’s the love child troll of Jero and Iggysbff. Welcome! It’s got to be one of the two of you.
I should feel honoured that you don’t just troll us, but every teams blog you can! You are universally hated by ALL the blogs, especially your own. I only wish you had the integrity to go back and read the responses to your verbal diarrhoea and realize how much of a douchbag everybody knows you are. You don’t talk hockey, just troll. If you need to vent like a child on Hockeybuzz, you must be a complete disaster of a mess in real life.
So troll on, you have zero respectability, and I for one welcome your comedic relief.

Just ignore the clown. Its comical to watch him get all bent when the writers felt Oilers were the worst team in the offseason in the Pacific. haha.
Flames just re-upped Valiev & Lomberg to 1 year 2way deals. 2 down 4 to go. Magpie should be fairly simple as well. |

In my opinion it should be Stone and Frolik out the door for cap space purposes.
Brodie can play with Valimaki or Kylington on the 3rd pairing, and be bumped up to Gio’s Line if Rass is in a slump. Brodie still is a pretty darn good defencemen, it’s just when he (frank)s up on a pinch, the puck usually ends up in the back of our net. That’s why he gets ridden so hard.
Don’t really want to see Frolik go except he and his agent think he should be playing top 6 and no less, so it makes sense to trade him. He’s still a good 2 way defender, but he’s getting to old and slow to play top 6 in this day and age.
Trade Stone and Gillies together, and Frolik with a 3rd or something.
Gillies is on a one way this year, so if somebody gets injured and we call him up until they get healthy, to send him down he’d have to go through waivers, and somebody would pick him up for nothing.
That’s my 2 cents so far.. |

I just got the update on Valiev and Lomberg. Good start, now we can get down to the real brass tacks!
As for oilclown90, I’m not feeding him. I actually kind of pitty him. But he’s good for comedic relief. |

One way contracts have nothing to do with waivers. He has to pass through waivers after they send him down after training camp because he signed his first contract 5 five years ago.
If he's called up as an injury replacement, he doesn't pass through waivers when he's sent back down.
Doesn't matter at all though because no one's going to claim him.

Kadri also nixed a deal after the Flames proposal. He really wanted to stay in Toronto, and thought that was his best chance at staying. Dubas had other plans tho, so he traded him to a team that was off his 10 team no trade list. Bit Kadri in the ass in the end.
He says so himself. You should use this thing called the internet while your on break while working at Wallyworld, it won’t help your low IQ, but at least you would be actually informed about the topics in which you speak. Have a smiley price dropping day! |
