I’d do that.

Copp is criminally under rated as a 3C

Yes he is, people will look at him out of context and just view counting statistics and say pass..exactly the player the swords could use..

The Sabres have enough 3rd to 4th line centers

Sobotka Larsson Erod asplund and Girgs if needed. No need for copp.

Larsson was 8th and Girgs was 12th for even strength TOI among forwards. They averaged 2:20 PK TOI which affects their total TOI.
If the rest of the team could maintain some sort of Ozone pressure maybe we wouldn't have to have two guys getting 84% Dzone starts.
Also, Girgs and Larsson were 9th and 10th for average length of shift.
The only three regulars with less total TOI were Mitts (very sheltered minutes), Pommers (old) and Tage (no excuse needed). Okposo had more than Girgs but less than Larsson.
Complaining about Girgs and Larsson is futile, while they may not be the best players on the ice, they certainly are not the reason we've had such poor results.

I can spin this a completely different way. They both played more than Mittelstadt and one of them played more than Sheary according to this:

https://www.hockey-refere...e.com/teams/BUF/2019.html

Playing them that much is a problem. That's the whole point. They played too much for us to be a successful team. Doing it again would be very dumb

I'm done.

But they don’t have good ones.

Copp is a really good player, and there’s a decent chance WPG 1st would be in the 10-15 range considering they’ve lost a bunch of players

That’s more than fair for a guy we all know is on his way out

How many times did Housley put out the 4th line after the Sabres scoring a goal and then 30 seconds later. The other team would score.

Not a lot, considering Larsson was pretty much even in 5 on 5 GF and GA

And we all know they couldn’t score much

Average TOI:
Sheary 14:37
Larsson 14:18
Girgs 13:37

Even strength TOI:
Sheary 12:53
Larsson 11:51
Girgs 11:07

Edit:
Sheary also had 70% Ozone starts compared to 15% Ozone starts for Larsson and Girgs. And with the favorable Ozone starts Sheary was a -18 compared to Larsson and Girgs at -8 and -11 despite starting in the Dzone 85% of the time.

Girgs and Larsson were very good defensively.

There’s no logical objection to it

Well, you are not done, not until we say so.
You know who is done? Phil (frank)ing Housley is done.
Also, I mentioned this yesterday, but you blew it off saying you were talking about the 4th line.
Improving the 2nd & 3th lines with better possession players such as Vesey and Johansson, plus puck movers such as Montour, Miller and even Jokihaju on the backend enables them to get out of the D zone and play more time in the Ozone.
How does that relate to the TOI of the 4th lin? Simple, less time is Dzone results in less Dzone starts for 4th line required to flip the ice. More time in Ozone yields more time on ice for lines 1 - 3 thereby reducing 4th line minutes.

I know you know this, why you blatantly blow it off is beyond me though. You are much better than this, by a mile.

All the time...people on here trying to say girgensons and larsson were not the problem, please wake up. They are awful hockey players. Bring up younger players to fill those roles

No forward that played 20+ games had a better GA/60 than Larsson and only Okposo was better than Girgs. Again this is with 84% Dzone starts. To call them horrible hockey players is just not true. They have a role and they do it well. Who in Rochester do you trust with 84% Dzone starts?

You're arguing with people you've never met, in a (frank)ing HOCKEY CHAT ROOM, over something NO ONE WILL HAVE CONTROL OVER ONCE THEY DROP THE PUCK IN OCTOBER.

Why are we getting so riled up about it? (and not just you).

I’m wondering where he fits in with Eichel, Mitts, Cozens & Asplund though?
I guess we could put Cozens at RW
But i think I’d rather trade Risto for a goal scoring winger
