I don’t remember the league without a hard cap so, although I lean on the side of liking it for parity, I’ll accept maybe it’s not as entertaining of a league as it used to be. I’d imagine trades were a thousand times better back in the day. - RickJames77
It's more entertaining, people are just jaded and like to complain about how everything was better back when. |

Sorry, I should’ve specified what I meant by better. The actual game itself is way better. I remember the tail end of the dead puck era and it was night and day after the lockout. I meant the transactions must’ve been so entertaining with trades being so much easier to make. I don’t know how much GMs use the “trades are difficult because of the cap” as a crutch to not do poop for fear of losing their jobs, though. |

never see a trade like the 10-player gilmour trade again.
i sort of miss the ol' shoot from the hip gm gun-slinging days.
on second thought, not so much. other than fletcher, all our gm's were basically the extra's in a clint eastwood movie; the ones that were used for target practice. |

I was watching a playoff game from ‘89 today and the goaltending was just, uh, yeah
Still entertaining, but the skill these days has gone parabolic. |

Just my take, I love the changes in the game in the cap era. |

Yeah trades don't happen the same way for sure. |

Marner and ceci for Jones and anderson. We can add a 3rd or a Bergman level prospect if needed. Cap savings will allow a gardiner signing as well |

Those BJ picks would be very high. Not sure why they'd consider giving-up 4 1sts when they gave up so much last season in trades and not moving their UFAS and it did not work.

Holy (frank) the Argos are trash. Opening kickoff ran back on them.
Game is 15 seconds old and it's already over. |

What a slut. God I love her!
...where are my manners?! I'm sorry if I offended any of you with that comment guys. I should conduct myself more appropriately. What I should have said is that it looks like she knows how to give one hell of a great interview. Looks like she could easily handle two or more interviews at once! |

I wonder if Benning saw what the Canes did with Dzingel and started taking notes... "I can offer 2 years and NOT 4+". |
