We are going to compete for 1st overall yet again. And it is now 9 years since we drafted Taylor Hall 1st overall. This is (frank)ing pathetic. I’m not buying any more merchandise or hockey tickets. I urge everyone else to do the same. Nothing will ever change as long as they keep making money off of us.

I still can't wrap my head around that Sekera buyout. If you put Sekera in the Russell spot there, I really don't mind that D corp. So you have a little less to spend this year, big deal. Sekera paired with Nurse would have really helped his development too.

Chaisson is a little too much $, good to have Khaira back but need to see more from him, Smith is whatever considering the term and the fact that Koskinen needs to be the starter, and I like the Granlund signing (can't see him at center though, will be a winger).

Roster is still a trainwreck.

I think the only shot we have left for a top 6 forward and it's no guarantee to work, is Gusev. We may have just enough cap space to get it done but it depends on the cost to acquire him.

Best to start brushing up on 2020 top prospects because I feel like we are picking top 10 again. At least this year is very very strong!

2020/21 is likely when we can compete if we make the right moves next July.

I dont think anyone is giving up, but oiler fans are allowed to complain after basically 15 years of sucking balls. In my opinion , people complaining means that they still care

That said, Connor demanding a trade because of our ineptitude of surrounding the best player in the world with even a somewhat competent roster might go a long way towards testing that...
