Disregard the Rags fans. They're delusional right now after signing Panarin. They seem to think that we shouldn't have a season and the NHL should just give them the Cup now.

They're rebuild is going well...but they still need more.

The Wayne signing will be worth it if he can return to form on the power play plain and simple. He is what he is at ES and these days it's not too pretty. He gives up a lot of picks in the neutral zone and does a lot of dump and Chase hockey rather than looking for a pass to keep the play alive. Kudos to the Devils for getting him to agree to one year. He could return to form but if he continues the downward trend it's an albatross contract you want no part of.

Should the Devils go after Laine? Either offer sheet or trade but I would definitely look into it if I was Shero. He would fix our top 6 forward problem.

I agree the Wayne Train was not the same last 1 1/2 seasons, but I still like the signing for the Devils, I would love to see him pot 25 and honestly believe its still in him, A healthy season and with the right linemates and he can gel, Speed is the only issue but with the right linemates you can work around that. Truly wish him the best, The fact most Flyers fans were rooting for Nashville and him in the playoffs speak words for the impact he made in his years here, Truest Flyer since Tocchet.

Streaky scorer who doesn’t play any defense. I don’t think he’s worth the picks we’d have to give up as he would probably want in the $9M range. I do like his quick release though

I love the trade. Simmonds with a chip on his shoulder, wanting to prove the naysayers wrong....that’s gonna be fun to watch. And his production in PHI pre-trade was good, so there’s reason to be hopeful. And the term is perfect: low risk for NJD, high motivation for Simmonds.
