The problem was the team had no identity, and got outworked by a hungrier team.

I think we should try to sign Petts in the
1.75-2.75 range for 2-3 years.

I’m not interested in Schultz at 6.5x6.

Murray extension seems “okay,” Id like to see how he plays this season before shelling out a huge contract.

Only problem with shipping Bjugstad is who plays 3C? I didn’t mind him at 3C and I think they want McCann on the wings so unless they are willing to commit to McCann at 3C, I’m not sure I see Bjugstad moving before Rust unfortunately. Still wish it was Horny being moved.

Not really Hagelin sucked at $4mil but everyone was pissed he got traded. There were like 4 months of him playing well on hte HBK line. Thats it.

Carl Hagelin has only had a shots for % under 54% twice in his career. Those two seasons saw him at 53.8 % and 51.2%. 5 years of ELITE defensive play. Tanev has been a positive shot differential player 1 time in his 3* seasons. Also, 6 years of term is certifiably insane.

I don’t know a single stat guy who doesn’t watch hockey so I’m not really sure where the idea that stats guys don’t want hockey comes in at. Do they watch 82x31 games? But I bet they watch more hockey than 90% of the posters on here.

We literally complained about that contract all the time. Only way to get to this take is if you think criticizing a contract is the same as criticizing the player’s game, which honestly, for you, is probably par for the course.
