Unreal, how we can't get Sorokin to fly his ass to Long Island, in order to play in the greatest league in the world: NHL. The massengale will never suit up in an Islanders Jersey. If the Islanders were anticipating an increase in season tickets, this upcoming season, they're gonna be very disappointed. The only good aspect, regarding bringing Lee back, is that he can be placed on the list for the expansion team to choose for their roster. Perhaps this is what Lou is planning for, next season. The following should be on the unprotected list next season:
Andrew Load, Johnny Boychuk, Lee, Clutterbuck, Bailey, Josh Ho Sang, Michael Dal Colle.

Shocked by Lehner leaving this way and that no one took a chance on a great talent..Teams maybe afraid of his mental illness but definitely thought he should have gotten more years. Take warning. He will be very motivated next year.

Thanks but I dont need the kind words or the history lesson...I'm a diehard fan for 40 years...no matter what Lou did today I'm sure you would have put a negative spin on it. The results ultimately will be determined by season's end. Sad to see Lehner go though...Btw if you reply to this post in the same way as the last I can gladly recommend some anger management classes

My only thought is that Varlamov could be a good tutor to Sorokin next year. If they can entice Sorokin to come over after his KHL contract is done and have the 2 Russians form a tandem for 3 years and then Sorokin can take over the #1 spot.

A little confused on why they're paying him 4 years @ $5 Million a season and Lehner signs with Chicago for 1 year @ $5 million. Why not just get Lehner for 1 year @ that money?

You can’t say that on here. If you say anything negative about any of the players some weird creep moderator named Eric deletes it and suspends your account. Dead serious

Great deal for Varlamov. I expected him to sign for less money and less term. He can be a great goalie for the Isles if he stays healthy.

I'm really disappointed we didn't keep Lehner for another year, but Varlomov isn't a downgrade.

Like On The Fly said, if he stays healthy. That’s a big IF with this guy because he’s always got an issue it seems but you’re right, he’s a good goalie and not a downgrade, especially in a Trotz system
