I've been saying it for awhile, we arent gonna do anything in free agency. Shero will wait until the dust has settled then try to find another Subban-like trade with a team up against the cap - vlongo4419
The teams up against the cap are more desperate before the dust settles... Just saying. We could have worked something out with a cap strapped team for the last month+.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t sign anyone. Other than Panarin, there isn’t anyone that will make this team a contender or guarantee for the playoffs. And his asking price is too rich for NJ.
If they do get another top 6 FW I imagine it will be via trade as others have mentioned.
Wouldn’t mind one more improvement on D but not sure anyone out there is really worthwhile. |

Other GMs really paying up in either term or length to some very mediocre players. If this is what the market is, best to let it cool down first then do something. |

We did, we got Subban for peanuts. Also not knowing what the actual cap would be had put a hold on trades, and now its lower than people expected. There's an entire summer to go for Ray to make another move, teams are still struggling for cap. People need to chill out, you dont build a contender through free agency, you realistically only hurt yourself in the future. |

Good point on Subban. Hope you are right about the rest.
I wouldn't mind hurting my future with Panarin. It would have almost been like have insurance for Taylor Hall. |

11.5-12.5 range, no doubt. They are comparable players. |

12/81 is almost the same as 8.7/64. I'm not saying Hall is Crosby but the deals are comparable cap percentages. It's the price to compete. |

Nyqvist to Columbus - dmarsden2988
@TSNBobMcKenzie
Four years, $5.5M AAV for Nyquist. |
|
|
|
That Bobrovsky contract looks horrific.
7 years (x$10M) for a goalie who will be 31 when the season starts. Woof. |

Panarin hasnt hit 30 goals last 2 years so almost 12 mill against cap seems pretty high..would think those salary types would be 40 goal scorers |

I like Nyqvist but 5.5 seems like an over-payment Columbus makes because they're going to lose every single player this off season. |

Wonder what the Lou Lams and Anders Lee conversations are like.... awkward.
So... Anders.... turns out I got Richarded by another Russian....
Panarin didn't Panout. get it.... so wanna come home?
Sure thing Lou. Just add more money and term because the contracts are.... shall we say... extra nice this year?! |
