We’re a cap ceiling team hoping to make the playoffs

We’ve made peace with this.

No issue with Elliot as a backup goalie with Hart starting.

Even though Hart has to play less than 40 games because he is a delicate flower.

This isn't that bad. Considering the players who would be available and the asking prices. And he is known to the locker room and the team responds well when he is in the net. He has shown when he is healthy he is a very capable goalie. The real question is, is he going to be able to remain healthy?

Always pay double the asking price, to ensure they come/stay here.

Awesome..

How do the Flyersbuzz GM's know that we could have signed him for at least 500k less..

Im assuming it's top secret inside info that you have which got you to that point.

Thanks for being on the spot with the info, Bill!

I have no problem with this. His save % Is good, and he’s a good teammate. If he can stay healthy (which, hopefully he can as a backup), he can help the team at a cap friendly salary.

I don't mind this. If he can stay healthy for 30 or so games, we won't have an issue.

Seen a few clips of Frost and I am impressed. Of course, it is way early and it is against other young prospects but he seems to have skills. I have to admit, I would be okay if he wins 3rd line winger spot out of camp. As much as I would like him to get time in AHL, I'd be okay.

He does not need to move and I cannot believe that there were teams lining up for him with higher offers. Now curious as to what Mike Smith signs for

What?? Where is this $500k savings coming from.

AAron dell $1.9M and he was horrible this season
Koskinen makes $4.5
Khudobin makes $2.5
Reimer makes $3.4
I can keep going...

Off topic post here regarding Provy and his new girl. Let me first say that I am not particularly happy with his Instagram posts which makes it look like he is with her ALL THE TIME. That's probably not the case. He seemed to be committed to being an NHLer long term and I can't imagine a little Villanova [Code of Conduct] has changed that. I am hoping that we get an inside scoop regarding his training habits this summer. Not that we are entitled to know anything in his personal life, but to put us at ease. He is looking for an expensive, long term commitment from the team. Do they ask or get to see his offseason training schedule?

I don't think his commitment to hockey has changed. I want to believe that.

Just my thoughts.

Seems like a weird concern. I'm not on Instagram so I don't follow but by all accounts previous to this Provorov was noted as a very committed hockey player with a very strong workout regimen. How many hours out of his day are accounted for on his or her Instagram account?

And I mean can we refer to a woman in another way?

I don't think we have anything to worry about, his prior year workout regimens have been pretty intense. Also, he did not seemed satisfied with his play this year in the slightest, he wants to be great.

I’d rather he be happy with what seems like a nice girl, instead of bar hopping and chasing bimbos.

For certain.

Provy gets a girlfriend. Happens all the time with hockey players. He’s just a kid having fun in the summer. I don’t see this as a big deal at all.

Off course, if we are pretending we are 20 and just gossiping about them as “an item,” okay then. They look cute together! Ya think.

If he was going to be the full time starter, I would be worried. But since he will be the backup to Carter Hart and his games played should be reduced, I think that will help him stay healthy.

I'm good with the signing. I had a feeling (based on his play at the end of the year) that he would be the one re-signed.

If I remember correctly, Provorov was on the ice already training only a few days or at most a couple weeks after the season ended. I'm not worried about his commitment. Instagram away Provy.
