With the leafs about to extend two of their rfas and only about 7 million in cap space is an offer sheet otw? A 9-10 million a year contract is probably what he wants, leafs will be hard pressed to match.....on the flip side who ever offers wouldn't want to be a bottom team, and give up lottery picks.....I could see the rags, Columbus, or Montreal getting into the fray...I hope Ottawa stays clear, and stays the rebuild path......

Offersheets are fantasy. Stop listening to Dreger.

Guys like Chris Johnstone, Bob Mackenzie, ETC say no offersheets.

Leafs can place Horton's 5.3 on LTIR and they wil trade Zaitsev after July 1st and free-up more (And Connor Brown may be moved as well). You're acting like they can't move anyone and only have 7 million until the season starts.

howard berger has bought in to ek's intel, he is calmly waiting for the marner offer sheet and an imminent jake gardiner signing. he is fully prepared to go the distance and already has transportation taken care of just in case he doesn't make the long haul. he is also all about the benjamins, baby.
