From a Flyers/Coyotes viewpoint it will be interesting to compare the careers of Soderstrom @ 11th and York as the next D taken @ 14th. Their JR careers were in such different environments that a comparison at this early stage is tough |

Soderstrom looks good, i wanted him on van. I think he will surprise and push for a spot in your lineup right away. Tough cost, but great pick |

Was very surprised when Arizona moved up 3 spots (trading away 2nd round pick #45) to draft Soderstrom at #11. The way I saw it was, there was NO way, Minnesota was going to draft a D-Man, considering they are desperate for young top-six forwards in their system.
The Panthers at #13 were more than likely going to go with goaltender, Spencer Knight....and they in fact did.
Which would only leave Philadelphia at #11. Now, they did go with a Cam York (D-Man) at #14, but, to me, Cam York and Victor Soderstrom are both highly touted Defenseman, and both play a similar game--not to mention they a both physically similar too (5'11" 170-175 lbs).
