What makes you think the Islanders will have 4 LATE first round picks. The Islanders just finished their one good season per decade. If the Jets or Leafs opted not to match an offer sheet from the Islanders they would get 4 top 10 picks.

Trouba’s fiancee is in medical school in Florida and his dad can’t cross the border to watch him play.
Unless the borders have recently changed, Toronto is still on the same side of the Canada/US border as Winnipeg. Despite the fact that many Leaf fans feel the Leafs have a different salary cap than the rest of the league, they can’t afford him even if he wanted to stay in Canada.

I would think they would surely consider Shea Weber as a suitable trading point. They could shed that albatross and Vegas needs a top Dman. This would also clear up space to go after the other Karlsson… Erik! Just saying.
