I do like him but he did not do well when he tried to do too much...coaches need to pull him back a bit

Anyone waiting for Sweeney to ‘make a splash’ ... Don’t hold your breath. The $$ just isn’t there.

The only way to fill the void on the 2RW will need to be by trade or if someone emerges from camp. Don’t be at all surprised when we start the season and there’s still no answer there. No $$

Nothing is worse than listening to Alex Tanguay try to form a coherent sentence in English.

he is on NHL network but i think they use him time to time..i cant stand guys like Duthie/Biron/Oneill plus the talking heads they have..lame coverage and centered around Toronto

I dont get why Sportsnet had only limited coverage considering they have NHL rights

What a stupid offer sheet. Easy match.

Hopefully the ‘Canes wait the entire 7 days to match so the Habs are handcuffed.

That’s not going to be enough $$ to keep everyone. That Backes contract is going to force Sweeney to have to trade someone.

Loading up for a new 4th line. Plan could well be to move Kuraly into a bigger role which is cool with me. Obviously a high end sniper would be great but it ain't happening. Who knows wtf Sweeney will do tho.

Ritchie is a monster. Good to have a player like that.

Btw would be a great time to give Kuraly a 5 year deal as reasonably priced as possible. Can you do that 2 years out even?

I don’t think so. Believe it has to be within the final year of the current deal. Could be wrong though. Probably am

Hate that trade if I'm a Avs fan...plus made leafs better IMO which is not good for Bruins.

Dubas has been making great moves, unfortunately. Dumping salary and making the team better somehow.

From all accounts I’ve seen, this Lindholm guy that Sweeney signed sounds like a total dud. Wonder what they see in him to give him a 1-way contract??

Yeah I'm confused on that one myself coupled with Ritchie. Seems like we have a dozen 4th liners plus prospects

He's gotta be angling to get 42 out. Just can't see any other reason to be stockpiling bottom 6 talent?? WTF is going on?

He needs to make up for giving useless Nylander that contract.

And I get that Kadri was the odd man out and a jackass but player for player no contract for contract I think it's a massive win for Colorado

Including Heinen it's 10 bottom 6'ers, plus Studnicka, Frederic, Steen, Bjork, Senyshen(lol), Blidh, etc etc...
