The Buffalo Sabres are the farm team of the NHL.

Stop me when I lie.

I've said it before, unless someone from management comes out and tells us ROR wanted out, or he say's it himself, I don't believe anyone in here with all the "he wanted out" crap.

Horrible idea to trade him and an even worse return.

Let's just say Botts himself comes out and says "Yes, Ryan demanded a trade". IF that's true, then Botts made a really, really awful trade. He got schooled.

However, he did win the Skinner trade, I'll give him that, but again, the return for ROR was inexcusable.

Maybe he didnt like losing?

Maybe he realized we were rebuilding still?

Maybe he wanted to not live in buffalo? He wasnt from here.

Clothes we to home and family. We hired his crappy bro to
Play for us. We have Tom Hortons and lots of Irish bars. Cheap booze. What’s not to like?

I’m guessing something to do with the Grey Nuns. Or his wife got shtupped by a teammate. Probably rhino. She likes the clean shaven boys.

So is Renney going to be asst coach? What’s the temp on Kruegs upstairs and Renney the coach? That’s where it looks like we’re heading in 2020.

A ton of former athletes live here. For as much as Peca might've clashed with the Sabres he came back after his career.

Ryan O’Reilly was miserable in Buffalo and he’s from a s*ithole with 3000 people. Buffalo makes people drink. It can be bleak and depressing and if you’re here without a support system like some life-long friends and family (see ROR, Lehner, Vessey, Drury) than yeah, it’s miserable. Plus, our fan base is so sensitive and scared and impatient and just...the fans are so wrapped up in the Bills & Sabres and it’s not really a positive thing. Our fans aren’t better than most..we’re a beaten, embittered bunch..and it’s not charming...it’s just a rust-belt fanbase that hasn’t won anything, and is notorious for alcoholism and binge-drinking. It’s a bad wrap and if you’re lucky, our sports teams are a bonus for you, not your existence. Whatever the case is, ROR is in a better place, with a more easy-going fanbase. I don’t think we ran him out of town, but we certainly didn’t make him psyched about his life here. Buffalo is no jewel, but it’s our jewel, and it takes a certain kind of athlete to succeed here.

This is literature. Preach on, brother. You took a page right out of my book of rants, quite literally.

I recently hooked up with some old friends from high school and they literally just drive around Buffalo drinking and bar-hopping after work, order food, go home and watch Game of Thrones...

I don't like any of that crap and I don't envy or pity them but it's been fun.

Part of the problem in Buffalo is that even if you save up enough money to buy yourself something nice (vehicle, home, etc...) or relocate, it's never going to be enough to actually reset your lifestyle and when you go other places you realize most of the rest of America spends more money on doing the same crap but not having as much fun and if some whiney, cry-ass mitch of an athelete like Cryin' Ryan Miller or "I talked my way out of town" Smilin' O'Reilly or everyone's forgotten son, the most gigantic living twat of all-time, he, the imprisoned one, Ville, the mother-(frank)ing phenom himself, Leino can't look himself in the mirror when he wakes up in Buffalo for some god-forsaken reason, well have fun being a square somewhere else, female dog.

This is quite the understatement, there's literally something like 8 or 9 Tim Horton's in Lockport alone.
