I've said it before, unless someone from management comes out and tells us ROR wanted out, or he say's it himself, I don't believe anyone in here with all the "he wanted out" crap.

Horrible idea to trade him and an even worse return.

Let's just say Botts himself comes out and says "Yes, Ryan demanded a trade". IF that's true, then Botts made a really, really awful trade. He got schooled.

However, he did win the Skinner trade, I'll give him that, but again, the return for ROR was inexcusable.

If ROR did not demand or at least insinuate that he wanted to be traded, why in the world would Jbotts trade him then? he was our 2nd best player.

Publicly he said he wanted to right after he said he lost his love for the game at times. Who knows if that was lip service, or if it was true.

He also said, in the same interview, that he hadn't spoken with Jason yet. So who knows what was said there that made him want to leave.

how do you feel about the Skinner trade? that was last year

what about the montour trade? maybe this one needs played out a little because we don't know how Montour or borgen are goign to be in comparison. I feel like that was more of a bump up in development trade

Right now (I mean, Pu could develop into the next Rocket Richard winner, right? 😂), Botts wins the Skins trade.

I think the Montour trade is too early to gauge, don't you? He played what, 16 games, or something? I liked Guhle (or the promise of what he could be), but Botts got what he was looking for: a proven player with, hopefully, years ahead of him.

We did not have to have inside information to know ROR wanted out last year. All you had to do is Listen to his Locker clean out comments. I lost my love of the game, losing culture etc... All but said please trade me....

Edit: I still agree with the trade, dude wanted out. Problem is we did not replace him accurately that is where Jbotts failed. Old news now

That is the million dollar question. Bowed to moronic public pressure ? Or perhaps he figured he could improve the team by moving his 2nd best player for a bunch of other players ? Personally, I just think he's an idiot who messed up.
