I watched several seasons of Game Of Thrones and then I had the idea they should flash forward thousands of years with no explanation and make it a sci fi space battle show with the same people. My idea was so much better I couldn't watch anymore.

I was thinking Arizona for Goligoski. They lose $800k in cap, but they are out from that after this year, and it costs them $2.75m in money, but they don't spend the $9.8m on Goligoski, so they are up $6m in cash.

I base this solely on the fact that numbers-wise Goligoski doesn't look like someone who's worth his $5.5m salary. I don't recall seeing him play since he left Pittsburgh (and I never really loved him there). But he's a LHD; the only RHD they have that fits is Demers. In that case, they lose $1.75m in cap space, but they only gain $4.5m in actual cash. I also Demers still has value to their organization.

Yeah Battlestar was more up my alley.

I loved people talking about how upset they were that they invested eight years of their lives into GOT and it didn't pay off. Shouldn't that prompt some introspection about the wisdom of investing emotionally in a television program?

They should be smart like me and hang on every twist and turn of a pro hockey team that hasn't made the finals in half a century.

is it just me or does having a smaller shorter version of Matt Hunick in the form of Russell on defense with multiple years of cap hit make any sense? (that's why I'm worried Dubas would consider this.... short and small enough (check)... move Zaitsev's contract (check)... take back much worse contract (f_ck)...
