I know FOs are huge, but don’t want to say that on here

What do you think we would get for Bailey in a trade?
- Cptmjl

Idk but to say no other team would want him is absurd he averages 44 points per season and over the last 3 years 61. That's a lot of production to replace regardless of how you feel about him

I understand Ses, but the whole team was dreadful against The canes so....

Edit: I know +/- like FO's mean nothing but Bailey was even for the Canes series

No argument from me about the entire team.

I don’t disagree but I don’t think we would get a whole heck of a lot for him and you know that and that’s why I believe you didn’t answer😂😉

He most likely doesn’t have a whole heck of a lot of value and there’s a reason for that. He’s not that good. I’m not saying trade him for the exact reasons you stated but I think this team staying status quo personnel wise is going to bring you more of the same due to players like Bailey. The top 6 and powerplay need an upgrade. It’s a glaring need accepting defeat and having no shot at signing any FA’s to me is Lameriello not getting it done. Not really sure how anyone could look at it any other way than that? Unless of course Lou can do no wrong in their eyes and they want to slob the guy’s dong?

Let’s put it this way he has had about a year and s half of a good season. He is soft as a blanket. Will not go into corners and half the time he skates around like he is lost. Trust me if snow did not give him that contract he would not be here. Another team would have him maybe on a third line or in the ahl. To me he is not an nhl player

You are absolutely correct. Bailey is from the country club teams that we once had. He still thinks he is there. He has hardly ever show any grit or show that he is going to put any effort into a game. Probably why he never gets injured. He doesn’t play good enough

I think bailey brings enough production that we just can’t trade him without upgrading our top six. The rest I agree with to an extent. He’s not putting an effort out there far too often imo. Inconsistency is one thing mailing it in is something completely different.

It's the lack of effort with Bailey that is the big issue. It's not that he is not a 90 point player. Bailey as a 50 point player with a consistent effort and you have no complaints.

I didn't answer because I really have no idea what he would get in return, could be picks could be part of a deal really have no idea. Personally if the team resigned Lee and eberle and got a top 6 forward via f.a. or trade I'd be happy with bailey on the 3rd line. As far as lou goes he really got screwed by tavares last year and had to scramble last minute. This year hes had time to prepare for f.a. and plenty of time to talk to our pending free agents, if he doesn't address or cant address the teams needs then he will have failed most certainly

Jesus hes not Matt moulson here the guy has skill and made the all star team even if it was that one good year. Doesn't matter what I say everyone loves to bash the guy so I'm not gonna waste more time arguing over it. My point was they aren't moving him, if they do I will happily admit I was wrong

That they are not for a couple different reasons. The return would be minimal for the above mentioned reasons and we have nobody to replace his scoring.

Bailey has a ton of skill. The issue is he gives the puck away all the time, doesn't do any board work, and never fken shoots. If you think he is untouchable you are nuts. His absurd Back passes to no ones were on Trotz nerves all year. The reason he did not get benched more is b/c he has offensive talent and there were no better options for Trots. If that changes via Trade, UFA signing, or play of young guys he is gone.

Bailey has been inconsistent for sure but his offensive production it the last 2yrs (lets say) has brought his value up, his cap hit of $5.5m (I think) comes greater value too.
If Isles are able to bring in multiple offensive players this year, Bailey would eventually go, but do think if he doesnt get moved this year, next year may be his last in isles sweater bc I firmly believe Wahlstrom & Bellows will be full time Nhlers and roster spots will be needed.

ok here is the point, he isnt being moved because hes locked in and Lee and eberle are not. If they are signed then he could be moved but being that they are already so thin up front they aren't moving him. Unless they move him and hickey for a top 6 guy and let's be fair what are they getting back that will give you that much more than he already offers?

This isn't and I love bailey post the fact is they have to replace Eberle and if they struggle to do so moving bailey for that help means replacing one and losing the other. Lateral move at best, let's hope they land a ufa and trade leddy for top 6 help and then bailey can be moved next year or play on the 3rd line

Seems like Dallas Eakins has been the favorite all along and they were just doing their due diligence elsewhere
