Not Grizzy practice today (non-cotnact). I do not believe Chara was even at the rink.

Binnington has been below average overall in every series in games 1-4. He has been great games 5-7.

I think we are going to see that trend continue. Big game coming from Binnington in game 5.

I wouldn't expect Chara to practice with the jaw. He still might play though. No reason to risk anything in a practice. Doesn't mean anything. Did Grizzy practice?

I didn't expect him to practice either. I did expect him to make an appearance at the rink. My understanding is he did not.

Grizzy practiced but in a no-contact sweater.

As expected, Chara is on the ice in Boston today.

Based on quotes being attributed to Cassidy, it sounds like Chara has not yet been cleared to play though I wouldn't have expected him to be yet as this review would likely come later in the day. If he is cleared by the doctor, then it will be Chara's call as to whether or not he plays.

Would be surprised if he plays. Karlsson situation from last series. Could be more of a liability vs asset.

If he plays they have to play 7 dmen. Cannot afford to go down to 5 again.

I'm with you on the 7 D only I would take it further. If he or Grizzy play, they have to dress 7 imho. I still think Backes could be the odd man out. Maybe Heinen but I'm guessing Backes.

The real question would be is Chara more of a liability than Kampfer and shifting minutes to Carlo, Krug, and McAvoy would be?

Yes

Will be wearing full shield and one hit away from being done. Know the Blues will poke at him after whistles and when driving to crease. Making the other Bruins have to over react since he cannot engage.

This a Berube team in the finals. There will be no courtesies, regardless of player. Every weakness will look to be exploited.

I hope Chara plays, he hasn't been that great in this series to begin with. Massive respect though for him if he does indeed play. Let's Go Blues!!!

So pumped for tonight. Let's get another road win and give us a chance to close it out on home ice.

May I ask you all a question? If I were to travel to St. Louis for game 6, is it safe to wear a Bruins jersey or are there a bunch of psychos? I won't instigate anything and would fully be expecting some trash talk that I'll politely laugh at and say nothing back.

Or dress in non Bs garb? I've worn the other team's colors in an away building before, but not in the playoffs, let alone the SCF. Thanks

Every fan base has its share of morons. Having said that, the interaction I have seen all playoffs long with Jets fans was awesome, Stars fans was pretty good, and Sharks was non-existent (didn't see many in the building at all but heck we bought Game 7 Sharks tickets from ticketmaster before game 6 for regular gate price from the team so...).

Boston interaction so far has been fine from what I have seen. We have a set in the lower bowl and a set in the upper bowl. In the lower bowl, we talked to Kuraly's family before a game, Backes dad and brother, etc. most of what we saw in the lower bowl was family with a few others. There were two Boston fans (not family) a couple of rows in front of us for game 3 who stood and cheered when boston scored and I didn't see anything untoward directed at them.

There was a pair of boston fans in the row in front of us in the upper deck and i didn't see them get hassled.

I will say that you likely could run into problems you end up acting like a db or aren't smart about things. Carcus is a STH i think as well but most of us (STH) would likely run interference and the ushers seem to be pretty good about stuff.

Also, security was insane compared to regular games, even compared to the WCF. Multiples more police and security.

Yeah, I have had opposing fans around me or close by for all rounds. Blues fans in general are not going to bother you unless you are acting a fool.

There is always the occasional tough guy that is drinking too much that causes trouble, but it is not the norm.
