Any of the three Golden Knight centers could walk in the door and become the first-line center in Colorado. - Jeff Paul
Please explain this statement. None of the centers currently in Vegas would unseat Nathan MacKinnon as the 1C in Colorado.

Not only centers in Vegas but Centers in the entire league cannot unseat Mack 😃 |

Colin Miller seems like a good fit for the Leafs, right handed and has a good shot, both things the Leafs are lacking on the back end. Didn’t see him play a lot last year, but I assume he hasn’t dropped off too drastically. Not sure what the knights would want for him but if they need a LW, the Leafs have Johnson as an RFA, they also have some depth on the left D as well as RW. |

Eakin could be a capable 3c if any of these roomers involving Kadri prove to be true. Personally I'd rather see Nylander dealt in favor of Kadri and one of Kapanen or Johnsson though. |

I would personally love to have William Karlsson on the Flyers, he makes perfect sense and if needed down the road can transition to the wing.
I would do this years 1st (11th) or 2020 1st and a prospect not named Frost, Farabee, Hart, Myers in a split second. |

How about a nice trade involving the Sabres.

Karlsson worries me a bit. He's a guy who never scored more than 9G/25P in a full season. In 17/18, he rocketed to 43G/87P, then this year cooled off to 24G/56P.
So what is he? Is he a consistent 25-30G/55-65P guy? Did he just have a small dip this year and will get back into the 35G range? Or is he the next Jonathan Cheechoo?
I'm not saying he wouldn't be a nice add, I just wonder what kind of annual production should be expected. |

Those are good questions, but the biggest factor in those fluctuating stats is playing time and role.
How were his minutes and role different in Columbus than in Vegas? Vegas saw something good in him or they wouldn't of picked him in the expansion draft, but then again Columbus obviously didn't see him as a fit for their current team or they wouldn't of let him go.
Basic stat lines can be very deceiving. I mean if a player scores 2 goals in a game, does that mean they played a good game? Game performance and production are tied together, but are far from the same thing. Would I expect 40+ goals from him as a Flyers? I don't know, but it depends how he is used, but playing in the top 6 I believe he could be a 25-30/55-60 player that is as good as Coots defensively. That is something I would take a chance with. |

Now that Arizona is leaving the division maybe they are in for a trade? Lets ask Tanner. |

Arizona would make an interesting option, but not this offseason.
GMs don't like to send their assets to another division rival, even if it were only for a season. |

Jeff Paul: Potential Trade Partners for the Golden Knights - Jeff Paul
Looks like the Dev's could be a great option. With Stone being your #1 RW, and Tuch/March competing for the #2 slot, something has to give. Given your immediate cap issues, I would propose:
To Devs: March or Tuch + Clarkson's contract
To Vegas: Mcleod + 2nd round pick
Saves Vegas about 9.5M cap space. |
