It would be risky, but I would probably go after him, over everyone else. Cheaper option I would think - mdw7413
He's an RFA, you'd have to trade for him |

Hearing that #CBJ will be announcing John Davidson's resignation as president shortly. Davidson will then in short order be named president of the Rangers. #NYR - jimbro83

Ah, I gotcha. |

I still see getting both. But they’d have to do some serious work to fit them
Shatty
Vesey
Nam
Pionk
Probably Kreider
Maybe even Buch
all gone - Slimtj100
I wouldn’t care about any of them getting traded but going out and signing a 30 year old that will mean losing 1 or 2 of these young guys a few years from now when they’re coming off their ELC’s is idiotic. |

I think He's been on everyone's radar, solid player. RFA though, going to be tough to pry him away. |

What do you think Vegas would want back in a trade? Defense, Forwards? |

Vegas is currently over the cap by about $3.5M. They'll be able to LTIR Clarkson and the cap rise will probably get them back to about an "even" zero dollars in cap space, but then they also need to sign Gusev (unless they were told he's heading back to Russia or something). They can probably dump Eakin, who's heading into the final year of his deal @ $3.85M, but I'm still not sure that's enough. |

Nothing that costs cap space. Picks/prospects. |

No surprise John Davidson is headed to New York. Can safely say running the #NYR is his dream job. JD belongs in New York |

It just goes against everything we’ve done these last few years. Name the last big FA signing that’s worked out for us. I bet if you looked at it league wide about 70-80% of them are regretted after 2 years. |

I don't care what anyone says, but Gaborik absolutely worked out, he had two 40 goal seasons and he was traded for Brassard who was then turned into Zib |

Yea he was great for us. If only he had some help on offense and wasn't playing hurt against the Devils in 2012 PO |
