I'm sure they will, but that's like $20M in salary added to the cap...the Rangers would have to ship out some salary. I guess they could dump Shatty and that would do it but that's gonna make things tough when it comes time to sign the kids in a couple years.

You don't need to do all of that. Getting rid of Shatenkrik and Namestnikov gives you an extra 10 million on top of the of the 19 million, (Extra rumored 3.5 million dollar bump) in space.

I really wonder if they won't have interest in Duchene. The Rangers center depth isn't great after Zibanejad.

That is fair. But throw in Vsey in trade, at that give the Rangers like 29-31 million in space minus Vesey, Namestnikov and Shattenkirk.
