classic turtle or hare story
Right now Kakko is physically ahead
his competition has been stiffer
BUT in long run you cant buy Hughes hands or vision or game
In long run hes a 1A future top center in lg.
value of centers is so high , it may be 5 yrs to determine whos best NHLer |

Well technically any deal "could" be made, I think it comes down to how likely will it happen, and is it worth it. - mdw7413
Yea but without krav. You saying Krav for 8 alone? Or Krav and 20? Because that’s like trading 9 and 20 for 8 basically Or even worse because he’s here and signed. All of you way overvaluing the 8 pick imo, especially if you’re still getting a pretty solid pick included
20 is a solid pick this year by all accounts, not 8 but nothing like your expressing |

I think Krav is untouchable for me. People have been saying he was one of the best picks in the draft. I want to see him in action before we ship him off for no reason at all. |

Nobody is shipping him off. It was who another team would want plus our 20th for the 5-6 overall pick |

Georgiev is a great trade option for Oilers, that way in expansion draft they can expose Koskinen - jimbro83
Look how well the last goalie they traded for worked out |

My Kravtsov was made when you were talking about Caufield and how they were talking about how he might go like 5-6 now. I can't keep up with which player you like daily. - mdw7413
I know it changes lol
Zegras fits better I think. Love caufield don’t get me wrong, really want that high end center. I don’t believe Chytil is that yet |

Chytil is still so young though, and he shows flashes of high end talent. I really hope he takes it to another level this year |

Exactly lol. It probably doesn’t matter, but Georgie wasnt even drafted. I have a hard time thinking he has a lot of value. Teams also know we have two guys on net already |

I’m not really worried about him as a player, just not a center. I think a lot of people pencil him in at center. I’m really not comfy doing that just yet. Wing he’ll be fine I think. I don’t want another Miller situation where we all say just play him at center and he’ll be fine. |

Whoever I really don’t care lol. But to say they can’t make a deal with Edmonton with 8 and 20 involved is flat out cray cray. - Slimtj100
EDM needs depth. A package of 2nd/3rd line players with upside I think could interest them. Howden would be a nice add for them. |

Yea I agree. They really need to make the playoffs, not wait two years for a guy.
It’s a perfect match really imo, we have a pick to give back too
Edit: salary retaining would appeal to them too im sure, ie- Stinky for example. Unless that isn’t an option, I’m not sure |

If I’m Holland I’m trying my damnedest to trade the 8 pick and Nuge. They could get a good haul for that. They can’t trade Lucic, that’s almost impossible. Nuge makes the same basically |

but all you keep offering them is our poop
if they were going to acquire a whole bunch of players on one year deals that we can't wait to get rid of they could have just kept Chiarelli |

I think the belief is that they'll move Nuge for Ristolainen from Buffalo. I'm sure the Isles will be in there trying to send them Leddy, but ultimately Ristolainen probably fills a bigger need on the RH side |

If it cost us Panarin would you be ok with that? I doubt they’d do it, but you’d have to at least think about the trade |

Thats why I did the winky. No I wouldn't do that. 2 years ago you definitely could have talked to me into it. |

That unprotected EDM pick could make it worth it though. When all your bad contracts run out, you could buy out Lucic. There’s even a chance you could get a compliance buy out in the next CBA |
