And of course, there's no accountability, so you don't get to hear from any of the officials.

What's ridiculous is the fact that the play technically isn't "reviewable", while everyone can clearly see the whole thing on the jumbo screen

I like how they can review if the play was offside 4 minutes ago but if the guy throws the puck to his team they can't

That's the problem righ there. I mean, once they missed it, they can't call it.

But seriously how can 4 guys miss that. it's the puck not something that happened behind the play, what exactly are they watching?

Because apparently they can't see Brand Marchand sticking people in the face either

I don't know how they can, but they did. A replay would help them get the right call. Arguing that they should see this or that is a bit pointless.

Only if he threw it into the net.

Who decided this isn't a reviewable play? Why isn't it? Did someone actually say "Hey, let's not review hand passes, just becasue (yes, becasue) we don't feel like it."?

If the play leads to a goal, it should automatically be reviewable. Not sure how anyone could argue against that, except for the fact that it might make the games too long.

They should just try to get it right, and then find ways to make the video reviewing process a bit faster, if it is an actual problem.

People also complains about too many replays in sports. Probably what happened there.

Could be true. But this would be one that you would think they'd keep, for this very reason.

Yeah well, hockey is not football, not that many plays to review, they should be able to review every goal if there's any doubt.

I agree, but it's the only reason I can see why you can't review some plays. They want a fast game and want everything to be as quick as possible.

Here's an idea - review every goal in TO. If there's an issue - for example, a hand pass - call it to the officials' attention.
