One game is the right call here. Wasn’t malicious, he tried to get the right angle, but didn’t. Can’t look at slo-mo in plays like this, always makes it look worse. |

Whatever speed you look at it, he hit him in the head and left his feet. One game is the right call but arguing it wasn't malicious is ridiculous. |

At slow motion everything can be viewed in a different light..
The game isnt played at slow motion though and when you factor in size differences things like this happen.
We have all seen malicious hits to me this wasnt malicious but was rather a smaller player engaging a bigger player at a high speed and the outcome wasnt great. |

Hell, If I was going to Hit Anderson I would be giving it EVERYTHING I had, That kid is a monster, Glad he wasn't hurt, Love that Kid, Opinions on this will vary based on your opinion of the Team (and if your a Leafer) Was hoping for just a fine, BUT Rule is pretty clear, You cannot hit the opponents Head first. He did. 1 playoff game is fair.
As long as Kampfer doesn't see the Ice the Bruins will be fine.

If you compare McAvoy's hit to the Vegas play, which was worse? Anyone who says Vegas should not be allowed to watch another NHL game. |

1 game in playoffs is equivalent to 2-3 regular season games. 1 is the minimum obviously, if this was regular season I doubt he would have got more than one.
He tried to make a good clean out hit and caught him high. Wasn't a predatory hit where he chase the guy down , wasn't in retaliation to something and wasn't malicious. He purely (frank)ed up a body check and missed.
I said right when it happened that was gonna get a game for the hit.
Lesson learned , move along. |

At full speed watching to once it is quite clear he left his feet. Once you jump off the ice while making a hit it is with malicious intent. I think you mixing up what the word malicious actually means and think it only applies to trying to figuratively kill someone. |

We can agree to disagree and I'm not mixing up the malicious with anything..
Malicious essentially means an intent to do harm and I dont think he was trying to hurt anyone..I think he threw a hit, at a high speed, with restricted visibility and the outcome played out the way it did..
1 game was enough for the play but at this point it doesnt matter since that is already served. |

It was a charge with the head as the principal point of contact. Should have been a 5 minute major. |
