Anthony Travalgia: Sloppiness all-around as Bruins drop Game 2 in double-overtime The Bruins were too sloppy with the puck in Game 2, and it cost them in their double-overtime loss to the Blue Jackets.

Great win by the Jackets. Hopefully they can polish off the Bruins in five.

this win had the Bobfather written all over it...

Broons had chances to win, but the Bobfather willed his way to the win. enough time and finally the BJs broke through with energy on the PP at the end.

Tukka did his part, but the Bobfather had the other end locked down...

2nd game in a row Coyle cost Bz a game. Bluejackets were outplayed all night by bruins, and Tuukka was awesome
When needed. What a waste.

Great goaltending on both ends. Broke my heart losing that one. Not going to start complaining about officiating but be consistent. Don’t call something in double OT that you let go in the 2nd period. That was a December regular season call, not a double OT playoff call.

Calls aside , Bobs stole that game. Best of 5 now.

What do you mean by COST, you remember he tied it up, and won game 1 in OT right ? granted he's making some poor decisions with the puck

One of those game as a Bruins fan you just shake your head. Lots of bone head plays and poor puck management. They looked like a tired team but still played decent. Played hard and had opportunities to win for sure.

The officiating was a complete train wreck. The refs couldn’t decide if they were gonna let the guys play or just randomly call penalties. Granted both calls in OT they had to call. The 2nd one, I’m not totally sure, but it was a good dive.
1) How do they call a cross check on Marchand at end of 1st? Are you kidding me! How many crosscheck get uncalled all playoffs? You could do a video montage of uncalled crosschecks in 1 period of playoff hockey and you call that one! Bush!
2) Bergeron all alone in OT1 and is hooked like crazy by Atkinson. No Call.

That call has to be made. The guy tripped ed him right up. If he doesn't make the call bergie could have walked in front, got the puck and scored.

Bruins should have done more with the opportunities they had instead of blaming others.

Penalty for sure. But keep it consistent. My complaint is the completely inconsistent officiating.

It’s frustrating because Coyle has been probably our best/most dangerous offensive forwards. But has had some slip ups with turnovers.
I notice a trend of teams using that outlet pass to break out of their own end. Pass from the corner to player in front of net because the boards are clogged up. Very dangerous but effective, This play just went completely wrong. Perhaps it was a set play and it was Dmans fault turning the wrong way.

Same structured breakout play that started the OT goal in game 1.

With just a little bit better puck management the B's would be going to Cbus up 2 instead of tied. With Bob playing as well as he is you must take advantage of opportunities.

His save of Bergeron's attempt from the slot was pretty much straight up insane.

Rask also is coming up huge, but for the life of me some the B's decisions with the puck are mind numbing.

Bruins have played every second night now since April 11th. The last two have been in OT. May be a slight fatigue factor setting in as Columbus was off for a week. Not saying this will be your demise but it may explain some of the sloppiness that was explained in the article.

shouldn't be an excuse yet... maybe if it was the finals … but first 3 rounds shouldn't make too much of a difference. you could also say the top 3 d of the BJs should be gassed since they play over half of each game...

I would think it does play a factor. Boston has played nearly double the amount of games to Columbus. 9 hard fought games playing every 2nd night. Guaranteed fatigue is setting in. Not an excuse but it’s reality. Columbus earned the advantage of a weeks rest.

Listen it's obvious the glaring errors cost them big time. All 3 goals came off turnovers. But 5 on 5 they have to stop looking for the perfect backdoor tap-in goals.
The Kuraly , Acciari group is generating good chances going simple. On the whole on the good side the physical play is there. Marcus J looks to be starting to get his game up to par. Coyle if not for the brain-farts is playing good hard hockey. Rask as been solid. On the realistic side the top guys you count on have not been scoring. Kreci and Debrusk and the top 3 haven't buried their chances. Bergy and Marchand are involved. Bergy could have scored 3 times but Pasta looks like sh-t. Never saw him play this bad. He has been a turnover machine and seems like he lost his confidence . Very indecisive. Wasn't the same player even against the Leafs. That being said can't see a player with his ability continuing to play at this level. Bruins just have to clean up the unforced turnovers and stop trying for the perfect goal. Of course as always Rask is the key. If he continues his solid play I think the big boys will come thru. Good hard hockey being played. Jones is a stud. He gets more impressive every game.

Hiding why? Leafs are 2 years away. Nothing to be ashamed of. Plus it’s sports. Get real. Like talking hockey. GTFU!
