Nice preview Ben. It's awesome to have more Islander hockey to watch.

Jordan Eberle led the offense for the Islanders against Pittsburgh, with four goals and six points in six games, ending the series at a plus-six rating. Josh Bailey and Brock Nelson each contributed three goals, while Mathew Barzal and Valtteri Filppula combined for nine assists.

I could have sworn they only played 4

Not surprising.

I dunno what he did but he hurt himself real bad.

Martinook's leg is falling off. Dude collapsed a few times out of nowhere when his leg gave out on him, even in the dressing room postgame.

Was that from ovie? I saw him slash in game 6 when he was booted but I assume he did it some other way

Yeah Martinook was a mess. He didn't even play in either OT, right?

As far as Svechnikov, and this is purely my own stupid speculation, I feel like they might just be saying he's close in the media to play games with the Isles. He looked like he was a total wreck getting carried off the ice. That looked like it was a pretty significant concussion and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he were out awhile.

No he hit someone and it looked totally harmless but his leg bent in a funky way

Martinook's been struggling for a while now. Slammed his leg on the boards in game 3 (I think) and has been struggling since.

Svechnikov has been skating in practice for about a week now. They just want to be extremely careful with him because of how important he is going forward.

Yeah he's in bad shape. If I were the Isles I'd key in on absolutely mashing him every chance I got. Same thing with Ovechkin's speedbag, I'd just abuse them the entire series.
