Marleau said he'll be changing his offseason preparation this year. And he'll try to move to a one-piece stick. Realizes he needs to be better.

Well now I’m not worried, a one piece stick is all the difference.

I think TPS was the last one that was still marketing two-piece sticks in 2007.

Not sure what his offseason routine is, but he has not been hurt his entire life...so? Dunno.

The team going from dead last to two back to back 100 point seasons isn't recent success?
- Zezel

Not really because of the giant improvement in talent.

You look at the Islanders, they lost their best player, added a failed starter (Lehner) and a couple goons and they went from really bad to really good. That's a dramatic change you can actually pin on Trotz because he was the biggest significant change to the team.

The Leafs added plenty of young, top end talent, Andersen and made significant changes to their roster for Babcock to become successful. Granted, Babcock was an improvement behind the bench but the talent on the ice was responsible for most of the improvement in the standings.

I think he needs to buy new skates as well. He bought all of whatever he was using and was down to his last couple pairs this year.

He should really hang the skates up.

By one piece stick, he means a walking stick which he will use to hike in the mountains of Arizona where he and his stupid contract will retire.

What do German people long dead have it do with Germans now?
- aminnes

The point is saying immigration is one of the worst things to happen to Germany makes the speaker sound stupid because the listener thinks of two world wars and Hitler.

I think that won't happen until the 3rd round, when their pop-gun offense runs out and they wish they had a 40-50 goal scorer.

for all the 'non-adjustments' of babcock; please look at # of shifts in the 3rd period for matthews and tavares, and how babcock has adapted quite a bit over last 2 years.

i never said babcock was perfect.

any criticism of dubas is laughed away here though - like he is mr perfect.

much more difficult to be coach than gm - not contentwise per se, but because a coach is measured every game on his performance (so that's 3-4 times a week) while GM gets 2-3 years to 'prove himself'.

just saying people should be looking at dubas a bit more in detail, he really isn't that 'saviour' most people think he is.

- MaximusAurelius

Which critisism is that? That he hired a woman? That he celebrated a championship?

Yeah if those are being trotted out as "criticisms" then yeah people are gonna laugh because that's a (frank)ing joke.

Who has said he is a saviour?
