Game 7 Gardiner and game 7 Andersen put us behind early. Every single game Babcock made it impossible to come back. I hope he's happy Marleau got so much ice time in the 3rd. Would have been rude not to give everyone a fair amount of shifts.

Boston was the better team. Congrats Bruins fans.

The sharks are not good. In an elimination game they mustered up like 28 shots in a 2ot game. They are bad and going home.

I cannot believe how Kypreos and Hrudey are throwing Freddie under the bus in the postgame. Kypreos was a plug. Hrudey was a headband. Goal one was flukey. Goal two was screened. Goal three was tipped.
The Bruins imposed their will tonight. Too many softies on the Leafs. Nylander's play was an embarrassment. 7 mil for a perimeter player who can't even score in the regular season? Go join the Ice Capades, kid

Better team won.

This series loss is predominantly at coaching and management's feet.

Too many in-season moves (or lack there of, from trades to benching, as well as AHL call-ups that never happened, etc) to even state here.

I honestly thought Toronto would be swept before the series got started, but the Bruins were way closer to average than i previously thought.
edit: This was because Toronto played .500 hockey since December

How long before Kyle Dubas asks Kadri and Nylander for their no trade lists? I’m thinking on the way to the airport. Gardiner will likely get told to get lost right away.

Risk did not steal that one.
Yes he made some good saves, but that's his freaking job.
Anderson made some key saves too, that's his job too.

Leafs did a good job trying to contain the Bruin's top two lines but had no gas left to deal with Bostons grit lines. They outworked them bad in the 3rd and didn't give them a chance to breathe.

That's why they won game 7, it sure wasn't Rask "stealing" a game.

Upsets everywhere in these playoffs. Tampa out, Nashville, Winnipeg and maybe even Washington. So many teams breaking the mold and doing the unexpected......EXCEPT FOR ONE TEAM. One team with a real poopty defenceman and cup drought that both wear the number 51. Never fails.

The series only seemed close because Boston has so little fear of the Leafs and total disregard for that that they only showed up when they absolutely had to. Bruins will do their usual thing and look completely different round 2 and get bounced in 5 games. The only team they can beat is Toronto.

I’m not being a Richard here, but how did Rask STEAL this one? After it 3-1, Boston clamped down, and gave up very little in the 3rd. Also, how will Toronto add D, without gutting their offense, and they still have to sign two major players who will get big contracts. Only way is to move Nylander, and after he came up small in these playoffs, no one is going to want that contract at his AAV.

Fire Babcock ! Most overrated coach ever. 3-7 in game 7s. Not once did he switch up his lines. Always played Tav/Hyman/Marn against the Marchand line. Did not manage Matthews minutes well at all. Down by two in the third and was still rolling out 4 lines.

Sure he has 4 years left at 6.25 but that’s peanuts for MLSE to pay. Besides if the Oilers or another team were to hire this clown they’d be off the hook.

What two major players? Theres Marner and then a bunch of expendable assets, as well as ufa players who will not be re-signed. Whos the second major player?
