Perspective for Caufield here.
Ilya Kovalchuk played 12 games at the u18's. He scored 13 goals. Caufield has played 11 games, he has 15 goals. |

Rangers may have the best chance at Caufield in terms of trading up to get him (with all the extra picks) that would be the tits. But at this rate he may go in the top 5
Would you trade both jets and Dallas picks if they get that one, for a team in the top 7-8 to grab him? - Slimtj100
Him having such a strong tournament is probably the worst things for teams that will have picks in the teens. He may have fallen that far but now that he's absolutely murdering it he's probably a top-10 pick |

2 more goals for Caufield. - tomburton99
I feel like we have to do whatever we can (within reason) to trade up for him. He's not going to make it to whatever our WPG pick becomes |

If he scores at the same rate he's scoring here, it would only have to be for a year. Max.
He's now got more career goals at the u18's then....
Matthews
Keller
Laine
Tarasenko
Kovalchuk
Malkin
Gaborik
F. Forsberg
Kuznetsov
Kucherov
Nylander
Mcdavid
Now some of those guys only 1 year at the u18's. But in terms of goals per game. Caufield is right there with all of them. Better in some cases. |

He could go 3rd I bet, they’ve had success with debrincat. Edmonton would love to get him too to play with mcjesus.

Nope.
At least there is a team to root for since the Rangers aren't in the Playoffs.

I doubt it would happen, but if I was a team, I'd try to talk him into going directly to the AHL. The team could keep better tabs on him there and when he was ready, call him up. He's one of the most dynamic players in this draft, you don't let a guy like that go to NCAA. You want him playing against pros ASAP. It's not someone like Miller who needed some seasoning first.

Idk. Goalies are so hard to judge. Like What makes Henrik Lundqvist great and what makes Al Montoya bad? Even though Montoya was the prized prospet. |
