Has nothing to do with sexual orientation... - tomburton99
NOT saying this at all about that poster but when questioned on being gay saying "I'm married w kids" means nothing. How long is the list of people who pretended to be straight, possibly their whole lives who weren't?
I didn't realize how useless Wayne Simmonds was for Nashville
oh lord - jimbro83
Hey Jim, Jan, & all:
After being eliminated in Round 1, do you get this feeling as I have that Nashville needs a little greater than a partial fixing, if they still consider themselves serious Cup contenders under Rinne, whose cap hit lowers by $2M, down to $5M in the final two years of his contract?
However, I feel that change could start with them entertaining offers for Subban at age 29 in having 3 more years remaining on his annual $9M cap hit, without having any NMC or NTC. As of today, including their potential Summer UFA's and RFA's, (Simmonds & Boyle in being their two main UFA's on the Pro roster), the Preds currently have only about $1.86M in cap space, until knowing what the exact new cap ceiling will be for next season.
Despite Bishop's heroics in goal against them, a lack of finishing by their key forwards did them in. I wonder if they try to see what significant trade value for up front that Subban could bring in return to stabilize a line or two, while also seeking a lower cost and predominantly defensive minded d'man.

Subban while an awesome player loves attention and the spotlight. Not necessarily a bad thing, but could (frank) up team chemistry. I think it would be a short list of teams that would ask about him. Maybe Vegas, he could do the pre-shows all by himself
Sadly, we did basically the same thing vs Ottawa - Slimtj100
Don't remind us t.j. of that 6 games series loss to Ottawa in 2017 when the Rangers in contrast should have won it in just 5 games, had it not been for blowing leads, including big leads in those two of three road games that were eventually lost in OT and Double OT.
Those losses were due to playing to protect those leads, as opposed to continuing to maintain control of the flow offensively. Both questionable coaching strategy means used when leading, along with questionable player deployment choices did them in, especially during key games situations. That, despite Ottawa having the player match ups advantage at home off every face off in those two OT losses.

Despite what Subban brings on and off the ice to Preds fans and the city of Nashville, he is their main trade bait that could bring in other significant help they need to earn the ultimate prize. His $9M cap hit will limit many teams from talking to them. But unlike Hank, he does not have any NMC or NTC, in relation to those Rangers fans who want Hank to be moved for any asset at his age, with his game woes after the All Star break of this past season. The Preds also have very little cap space available to improve to make it for at least three more rounds as of today.

He goes beyond the usual fake moon landing & 9/11 conspiracies. Its the earth is flat, space is fake, etc. It used to be funny with him but now its just irritating. - B2B76
Only time I've heard him was with Alex Jones. Now that was damned funny.
I hear you can take a cruise to the ice wall at the end of the world.
