Pretty sure Hedman and Burns also went up against top lines most nights. |

Todd Cordell: Mark Giordano rightfully named a finalist for the Norris Trophy - ToddCordellCGY
Good for Gio, he had a great year!
Todd, a few of us were brainstorming about how we can move Neal. I just dont see bringing him back next year because I dont see him cracking the top 6 on our team & he really needs a playmaker on his line. Do you think Jersey is ready to move on from Schneider & a Neal for Schneider deal makes sense for both teams? Just curious. Schneider is really risky but seemed to be putting in better starts late in the year & you are a stat guy, Neal had his lowest shooting percentage of his whole career & if he shot his normal, still would have potted 14 goals. Just wondering seeing you have a finger on the Jersey pulse.

As long as they skip any playoff performance numbers, Gio should be good. |

Giordano played hundreds more minutes against elite competition, per PuckIQ. |

I believe Schneider has an NTC.
But Ottawa would take James Neal in an instant. At his full salary. Please include either Andersson or Valimaki before I hang up the phone on you. If you retain half his salary they might also take Sam Bennett's moustache.

Canada media boosting up giordano yet meanwhile Reilly had every bit as good of numbers and plays wih ron freaking hainsey. Oh ya and calgary got their lunch handed to them against Colorado. Tired of hearing of eastern media bias when reilly goes out and has a season like that and gets ripped off |

You need some cheese for that wine? Reilly scored goals but not near as good defensively. Gio played with Brodie. Go (frank) yourself. |

Reilly had a great season. Wasn't as good as Giordano's. So what's the problem?

I'm thinking both Rieilly and Giordano needed to be there...
I'l let you decide who of Burns or Hedman you remove... |

Brodie's likely on the market this summer ! Leafs might be a good fit for him.
Edit: Forget it, just looked at your cap space. Ouch ! |

You really shouldn't get so worked up about a Norris snub. It's bad for your health. |

Not really sure how you come to that conclusion. Reilly had a couple more goals and played 4 more games. Giordano was better everywhere else.

Doesn’t matter who got snubbed really....even this Oilers fan knows Gio should win it this year....even that wiener Doughty has been quoted saying the same thing

He 100% should win.
If he doesn't we riot. |

Gio should win this - and his co-nominees both know it.
It's funny leaf fans bemoan Hainsey when he got 90% of their hardest D minutes....scored a fraction of the points Reilley, got ZERO powerplay time and somehow managed to have a higher plus minus. Take a long hard second to figure that out. Reilly is an EK65 and that's it. Gardiner is easily your most complete defenseman and vital to your team success, yet every leaf fan wants to run him out of town.
I might have nominated Reilly for the points thing, like Karlsson got nominated. But some how benefitting from being on a stacked powerplay makes me less confident in his overall ability and makes it abundantly clear he benefitted greatly from playing with Marner/Mathews/Snakeface 7-10 minutes a night. At least EK created most of his offense mORRgan happened to be along for the ride most of the time. |

"Canada media". From a Leafs fan, a team that has the only 2 major sports networks in Canada spewing Leafs crap 24/7?
Please. |
