I hope Ghost gets his head sorted out. If we get good Ghost he is definitely an asset, one of the best PP Qb's in the league.

It wouldn’t suprise me if he’s dealt. I really hope it doesn’t happen...a ghost that was dominant only 2 seasons ago is an elite talent. Add a solid top 3 vet guy on the back end and you have the makings of a really good group that’s deep.

Is Simmonds hurt or a healthy scratch?

Re: trading Ghost

What are we getting back for Ghost, or Ghost+? I'd either need a young NHL talent or a prospect just about ready to move to the NHL.

Could Ghost swing someone like an Owen Tippett? I think I'd have to listen on something like that. Ghost for RNH, who seems to address some real needs for this team down the middle and on the PK? I'd probably also listen on something like that. I don't see the point in moving him for a long term prospect or a future pick with the team built around G and Jake who aren't getting any younger.

I wouldn't be shocked if one of the D men gets moved to address a need at forward this summer. May not necessarily even be Ghost tbh.

You can’t get a nomination in name alone.

Well, this is about as unfair as unfair gets. Carter Hart is a first year NHL goalie who only played half a season. During Ghost’s rookie season, Ghost showed an offensive upside that matched some of the best offensive defensemen in the league.

Florida already has Yandle. Not sure how interested they’d be.

I’d have a great deal of interest in RNH due to his contract and the hole that we have. It’s ideal. 2 more years is not going to block any kids like frost in the future. Not sure what interest Edmonton would have in ghost. Imo for them that’s plugging a hole only to open up another one

I'd like to see us get to a 2nd round so we can actually determine his playoff value.

That said, he's not one of my untouchables.(I only have 4). No harm in seeing what teams offer imo.

I don't disagree with you that an undersized player likely isn't very valuable in the playoffs if he isn't scoring.

If there is some way to turn Ghost into RNH I really think I'd go for it. Might need to get a 3rd team involved if Edm isn't interested in Ghost. Honestly, I don't see why they wouldn't be. They need help all around. RNH would address a lot of our needs and is still fairly young at 26. Not to diminish Ghosts's strengths but I think Provy, Sanhiem, Myers can handle their own offensively on the back end.

For RNH. They’ll prob ask for ratcliffe along with ghost. Something like that

Get a mid rounder back from EDM and I'd probably end up pulling the trigger. RNH gives us a legit 2C, a strong penalty killer and takes a ton of heat off Patrick.
