There is some real analysis on the team if you want to listen to the podcast. I'd be happy to gain another listener, it's always appreciated. 95% of my blog posts are written, but I post my podcast episodes here too so that there is some variety.

The thing that irks me the most is that he went after Ian Mendes...the most milquetoast and calm "journalist/commentator" in the entire city. Mendes is a consummate professional and through that, delivers a lot of bland "takes." If you're going to go after a commentator, go after a consummate moron/asshat like Lee Versage who literally will argue that the sun is blue to prove he's the biggest turd in the water.

I guess he couldn't go after "Simmer" (another idiot who admits he was a huge part of two of the worst run organizations in recent NHL history), because he wanted him to be in their Executive Group...

I love Versage. And Jakubec. The two of them are very entertaining.
I'm not saying Lee isn't disturbed, or inexplicably combative on every topic, he's just funny to listen to.

I think we all, as fans, need to come to the realization that the owner of this team is broke, and that the team/land/buildings are pretty much the last of what he owns. He's not selling it.

I don’t listen to the Team 1200 but follow Mendes and his thoughts closely I really respect his thoughts and way of thinking. He basically threw the Sens, management, and ownership under the bus (and rightly so) at the trade deadline. Guess Melnyk doesn’t like having the most logical Ottawa journalist/radio personality call him out. One thing to have bonehead guys call Melnyk out, it’s another to have a widely respected guy call you out. The amount of posts that supported Mendes when he posted that Melnyk called him bush league was impressive. Guys like James Duthie and Bob Mackenzie coming for support shows a lot.

So noted. Can’t listen to a podcast under the table at boring work meetings. Or at breakfast table.
