As the Caps blogger, when they were doing well, you said it wasn't worth getting excited about, that they weren't that good, because look at their corsi. Why should Coyotes fans be happy at lucking into a decent record when Caps fans weren't supposed to be?

That is absolutely not what I said. Not even close.

On the internet, "people" (and I use the term loosely) like to take what you say in the dumbest way possible, in a way that strips all the nuance and analysis from what you said, and then they (lamely) try to throw that back in your face while making a false comparison that is (almost always) poor.

The Capitals were an elite team that traded or lost almost half their WAR in the summer before they won the Cup. They followed it up with a season that was statistically in the borderline playoff area, but managed to put up the 6th best record in the NHL, and then they rode a near record save percentage to a Cup win.

What was interesting in covering them, was that for the preceding decade they were a great team, and they ironically won it when they were just an average team.

This has nothing to do with the Coyotes. The idea that this analysis (*which can easily be fact checked and which is 100% accurate) should lead someone to not be excited about the team they cheer for is just dumb.

Luck has lot to do with. I doubt it. And 100% correct.

So, you are one of those idiots who bids on stuff without reading the description first?

Now the seller gets stuck with a listing fee and final value fee because the buyer didn't know what the heck they were buying.

Nice.

Oh boy, the injury narrative again...

As of 3/14 - here are the top five teams with the most man games lost this season.

ANA 426
ARI 419
DAL 354
NJD 294
PHI 287

Source https://twitter.com/ManGa...tatus/1106361243672154112

At this point, Arizona had played 70 games. That means that 140 of those games (or 33% of man-games lost) was due to Bolland and Hossa. Two players that are on the team to stay above the cap floor. Neither of these two players will ever play a game for the Yotes.

So, adjusting the injury stats to reflect this (none of the other teams have this issue), we have:

ANA 426
DAL 354
NJD 294
PHI 287
ARI 279

What does this say about Dallas? They are in the #1 wild card slot have have far more actual man-games lost than the Yotes.

Arizona made a conscious decision to put players on their roster - who will never play. To create some nonsensical story about "historical" injuries is disingenuous, yet pretty much what we have come to expect in this blog.

And "literally ridiculous" is implied when OMFGBBQ INJURIES is invoked ad nauseam.

So the Islanders and Coyotes are only winning because of the goalies. So who is your nomination for coach I'd the year?

While Dallas has had it's fair share of injuries a lot of those numbers are from Hanzal, Methot, and Johns. Hanzal should have been expected, Methot and Johns the team should have known at the start of the year.

That list you linked to does not include Hossa, and it also includes a parenthesis rank for quality, of which the Coyotes are first. So your entire rant was pointless, and the information you provided contradicted you. Also what are BBQ injuries? Also, your Latin is terrible.
