I honestly don't think either one makes much difference. The issue has been slotting them in the #1 pair IMO.

Trotman has been playing WAY above his paygrade. He has absolutely no business in the top pair.

I think it's been a mistake not try Prow over both Trotman and Riikola.

Trotman took a puck to the face and came back to finish the game. He's getting the "warrior" treatment. Not that it's not cool he did that, however I don't believe it merits extra playing time.

For a smallish dude, he lays some big hits.

Rikola initially made the team because they were surprised at how ready he was for the NHL with is physicality. He put Lucic on his wallet against the oil and has had other notable hits throughout the year. My big thing with Rikola is that he makes plays. He's good for a fair share of gaffes, but makes noticeable, good plays nonetheless. For that I slot him over Trotman and Johnson. I don't think playing JJ in his stead is unwise this time of year though, as the whistles will undoubtedly be going into the stripes' pockets more and more.

All for giving Prow a look though, kid has earned it.
