Why do we talk about the backup situation?

If Andersen is out? Mcbackup or Sparks the Leafs will have an extremely tough time winning the cup. As would any team in the NHL.

Sparks has potential.

Having Mcbackup this year wouldn’t change a thing. The Leafs would still be facing the Bruins 1st round and Andersen would be starting.

a 1vs8 playoff format would have the Leafs vs Isls right now

how fun would that be

(frank) guys. Gotta stop the Sparks bashing. Over reaction at its finest IMO. His 9.06 compared to mcbackups 9.14 is about one goal diff over about 3 or 4 games. Plus Mcbackups defense in front of him is a lot better overall then what Sparks gets. Plus sparks seems to get the poop end of the stick with a tired team in front of him on back to backs. It also seems he gets thrown to the wolves with a hope for the best. Plus the projected shots against is nuts. I'm pretty sure if it was equal games played, Sparks would see over 100 more shots. There's your one goal ever 3to4 right there. Sparks style of play scares me but to say he isn't doing his job and that he was the wrong choice is just stupid. Mcbackup has a decade more experience. (frank) peeps, goalies take time.

No Bruins vs Leafs for the 2847827438 time is way more fun.

IMO, it really doesn't matter if we have home ice advantage against Boston.. Either way, we would still need to win games in Boston to advance.

I think its only one person still complaining about not having mcbackup. Unless more have joined the parade?

Would we? Hard to say.

But regardless home ice is just something fans like to obsess over. If you win the first game on the road you have a big advantage.

Just the point is it’s not worth talking about.

Like most things hockey fans like to argue.

beating the Bruins would be more satisfying and shut up a lot of people. but as 1st round matchup Id pick the Habs 1st and Isls 2nd ..just for the fun of the matchup.

Can cross paths with Boston or TB later

How the (frank) does Babcock keep putting Marincin in the line up. What a joke.

Yes. Maybe.

But home ice is better to have.
Actually, as long as you win all 4 games at home, you wouldn't need to win any in Boston.
See, thats the advantage

I guess, but the Leafs records are

Home 21-14-1
Away 21-9-4

Maybe Babs not having control of the matchups help

Home is better to have. But yes, its good to win game one

It’s nice to have.

But it’s not a big deal at all.

Choosing your matchups is cool I guess, but that can play against you as well.

Like I said it’s nice to have but at the end of the day it’s likely not to make a difference.

Two good teams are going against each other and whoever has that extra home game isn’t going to win because of it.
