i know it's a nuisance in practices.
but need to maximize the point totals. sparks was never going to help with that

Some of this fanbase don’t deserve a Cup. They deserve to continuously live in misery and sorrow.

He's great at serving popcorn though. McBackup could never figure out how much butter to put on it.

My only issue is if Mclennan could see he wasnt that great then how did the pro scouts not see it? On top of most AHL "of the year" recipients usually dont become good NHLers. Look at previous goalie of the years. Remember TJ Brennan? All star ahl defenseman.

(frank) guys. Ya gotta stop the Sparks bashing. Over reaction at its finest IMO. His 9.06 compared to mcbackups 9.14 is about one goal diff over about 3 or 4 games. Plus Mcbackups defense in front of him is a lot better overall then what Sparks gets. Plus sparks seems to get the poop end of the stick with a tired team in front of him on back to backs. It also seems he gets thrown to the wolves with a hope for the best. Plus the projected shots against is nuts. I'm pretty sure if it was equal games played, Sparks would see over 100 more shots. There's your one goal ever 3to4 right there. Sparks style of play scares me but to say he isn't doing his job and that he was the wrong choice is just stupid. Mcbackup has a decade more experience. (frank) peeps, goalies take time.

Took McElhinney 10-12 years in the league to finally put up some decent numbers in the league.

Every year prior he was garbage.

People are quick to compare Sparks to him for whatever reason.

All we can do is hope over time Sparks gets a lot more calm in the net, and control his rebounds better.

Or after next season we move on from him and try a new backup if any are available.
