Speaking of redrafts, I'm curious where people rank Boqvist, Bouchard, Dobson after +1 season.

I dont think many had any of those guys before Hughes. I liked Bouchard and I'm pretty sure Pres had Boqvist ahead of him but cant remember anyone else.

Hughes: 32 Games 5G 28A -2 NCAA
Boqvist: 52 Games 20G 39A +15 OHL
Bouchard: 7 Games 1 G -5 NHL
43 Games 13 G 36A +30 OHL
Dobson: 44 Games 15G 35A +8 QMJHL

I had Dobson and Bouchard ahead of him.

Also, add Sabres and Colorado to the list of 4 of 5 top 10 picks. That puts 3 teams plus Canucks in similar positions.

Hughes had at 3ov , top flight offensive defender with speed to burn
Boqvist. Had at 5ov, boom or bust, huge shot, wanted him but glad Hughes fell.
Dobson. Had at 10ov, wil be a solid number 3/4
Bouchard, I think, is a Cam Barker bust.

I think they all need to be evaluated on the same playing field, too many different variables between junior and NCAA.
Another year after they all had a chance in the NHL would be a better indication for redraft.

Avs got MacKinnon, Rantanen, Jost

For sure, but it there were a lot of stong opinions last year and if anything I think its still pretty murky but looks like all still are on track to be difference makers.

Fair enough. You still feel that way?

I think im higher on Boqvist but otherwise the same, I still like Bouchard and have concerns about Hughes size and lack of shot. Dobson still seems vanilla to me.

1 + 2) = Hughes/Dobson: basically even, wanted 1 of them unless Zadina fell)

3+4) Boqvist/Bouchard: I was down on both, I don’t believe I had either in my overall top 10

Uhmm.... I don't think Hughes would go 2 in a redraft maybe 3, tchunk is pretty dynamite and I'd rather him then Hughes. Elias might go 1 but nico is one hell of a player.

Think you guys are missing the point. We got lucky. The players we picked would go higher in a redraft. That is luck

Both those teams include 1 or 2ov picks... not fair to compare the Canucks...

Dobson looks like a hamhuis now. He'll be solid but isn't great at anything.
I still have concerns about Bouchard being able to skate.
Still like Hughes and boqvist best

Okay, but my ask was for other teams who had picked top 10, at least 4 out of 5 years and not gotten at least 2 good players.

OEL and Turris (debatable how well he compares to Boeser) is the best example so far.

Hard to find comparables with a more narrow scope, but you're welcome to find a more fair comparison.

Funny, we got that exact same position from Pres4U...hmmm something suspicious here.

Personally, I am more interested in Canucks signing #6 & 8 on Pronmans chl/euro and NCAA free-agent list
Kaski and Brazzeau.
One is a right shot defenseman from Finland and another is a high scoring winger from the CHL.

Find a team with 4 out of 5 picks between 5 and 10 who have more then 2 that have shown to be all star caliber.

There are no comparable teams! The Canucks are that great!
