Interesting, okay. Why do you say that? Just curious. - Ben Shelley
17-15-3 on the road is better than mediocre. Would say it's even a bit above average on the road. |

Fair enough, I appreciate the input. This is how I would look at it:
Considering spots 8 and 9 are the middle point of a 16-team Eastern Conference, MTL falls into spot 9 in road points earned vs road points available, that's why I’d say it fits the mediocre category. Average for all of the Eastern Conference, but not very good for playoff teams and potential playoff teams.
Below is EC Road Points Earned vs Road Points Available This Season
1. Tampa Bay (24-7-2): 50 of possible 66 points (0.76 points %)
2. Toronto (21-9-4): 46 of possible 68 points (0.68 points %)
3. NY Islanders (19-11-3): 41 of possible 66 points (0.62 points %)
4. Columbus (20-12-1): 41 of possible 66 points (0.62 points %)
5. Washington (20-13-2): 42 of possible 70 points (0.60 points %)
6. Carolina (20-13-3): 43 of possible 72 points (0.60 points %)
7. Pittsburgh (17-11-7): 41 of possible 70 points (0.59 points %)
8. Boston (15-12-6): 36 of possible 66 points (0.55 points %)
9. Montreal (17-15-3): 37 of possible 70 points (0.53 points %)
10. Philadelphia (16-14-4): 36 of possible 68 points (0.53 points %)
11. Florida (12-15-6): 30 of possible 66 points (0.45 points %)
12. NY Rangers (11-18-5): 27 of possible 68 points (0.40 points %)
13. Buffalo (11-19-5): 27 of possible 70 points (0.39 points %)
14. Detroit (11-19-5): 27 of possible 70 points (0.39 points %)
15. New Jersey (9-24-3): 21 of possible 72 points (0.29 points %)

That's a different, and very specific point. As far as general rules go, if you can play at, or around .500 on the road, your chances of making the playoffs increase. |

For sure the stats are impressive, and support the point of this season's available road points, yes.
Then again, even 9th out of 16 is just below average, which I wouldn't consider mediocre. |

Lol no I am not. Granted he is not gifted offensively but our penalty kill has been a hundred times better and he is an upgrade over others on the defensive side and once again that is what he is getting paid for.
Right Ben?? |
