Of course the only position more of a crap shoot is goalie but these kids are looking pretty good. You know me I’m not one to get to overly excited over prospects but with what I feel is the proper management in place these kids have more of a legitimate shot than prospects past. Also, Dobson has a bit of an offensive game himself he’s no slouch. He’s not Wilde but it’s not too far off thinking he could be a 40 Point player.
- Cptmjl

Yeah to me Dobson has the potential to be a big minute, first PK unit, second PP unit guy. Wilde is quarterbacking the top PP unit and probably will be nowhere near the PK

I don't get the feeling Dobson will have much of his offense translate to the pro's. That's not a knock or a complaint either, if he can be a steady leader on the back-end I'll be thrilled with 30pts a season.

Bingo, you’re welcome.

Every Habs loss brings everybody else closer to clinching.

It's a great day.

Lucky for you that you wrote prospects instead of kids in this sentence.

I’d rather Montreal make it in over Columbus though.

This is why the Canes gotta beat CBJ today.

Brings the Habs and Jackets to almost even footing and further pushes CAR closer to clinching.

I predicted a couple weeks ago that the Habs would be the odd team out, but I'd love it if it was the Jackets that missed and all of Duchene, Panarin, and Bobrovsky walked.

Don’t forget Dzingel.

But yeah, that’d be (frank)ing magical.

I think it's been said that Dzingel is likely to re-sign there. He's from nearby somewhere, I think Illinois.

Pulock - Pelech have become an effective top 4 pairing. I wouldn't be making plans to break them up in the hopes that one of Wilde/Dobson, neither of whom has played at the professional level, might become effective in that role "in the near future."
- JohnScammo

My point was that Pelech is not "core four" material. I am not breaking anyone up at the moment, and am pleased he is playing well at the moment. I don't however believe Pelech will be a Great top 4 d-man. I do think Dobson/wilde have that type of upside. If you think I am plugging Dobson into the line up next year you are mistaken.

Pelech has been good the last couple of games. He has not been as consistent as Pulock and Mayfield has this year. Boychuk was much better this year than last but has been reverting back to lately. Especially when they pair him with Leddy.

Hmmm.

interesting seeing the only difference in line up is JT. For Isles coaching obviously but I find it amusing the Leafs are the exact same as they were last year at this point.

You also said Pelech & Mayfield's contracts were terrible so I fully expect Dobson to put up 80 points a season

It's more an issue with Babcock than anything.

Pretty tough to win games when you're throwing Ron (frank)ing Hainsey out there for 20 minutes every night.

Easy, Mayfield has been bad lately and Pelech has been playing well for about two weeks. Plenty of time left to prove me right.

Most overrated coach in the league. Good. But overrated. Guy had success with all-star cast Red Wings teams and (frank)ing Team Canada. I could probably coach Team Canada to multiple gold medals.

If you told me one of them has to stay, he'd be the one I'd hope for. Watching Panarin, Bob, and Duchene walk is gonna be hilarious, doubly-so if they miss the playoffs.
