They could of had Talbot. For basically cap relief. The main problem is defense. They could of had beaulieu from buffalo or del zotto. Both went for 6th rounder and would be depth dman that they desperately need.

And Beaulieu and Delzotto are not fixes for a Defense... unless perhaps you were looking for an Offensive oriented D, not the case here

With Sparks, it's does the team have confidence in him as the back up goalie?
If the players are confident in him, and we know management is as they re-signed him, then we're good.. We don't need to use assets to get something we already have.

It wasn’t even a full game and they were losing 4-0. It means less then nothing. You guys screwed yourselves this season. Terrible defense and no backup. And u had boatloads of cap to add free agents to stack lineup. Terrible gm and now u while have no cap space next year and still no defense. Good luck.

? I'm not a leaf fan so I don't really care about any of that. A backup doing his job and coming in to save 24 out of 25 shots does mean something. That's part of their job, and last night, he did it well.

Well u are dumb fan. Just because he plays good when team is getting killed does not mean he is good or they didn’t need a better backup. He is averaging over 3 goals a game and has terrible save percentage

The Leafs need to have a bunch of CAP space left so that they can use this years CAP for the bonuses that Marner and Matthews will get.

Ray Emery and Scott Darling were better examples with the Hawks. Darling single-handedly saved the Hawks season in 2015 against Nashville. Howard sucks.
