Sam Hitchcock: Bolts' Regular Season Epilogue Begins

Lightning dominated the game was not close as the score suggested.

Only noticeable thing I have seen is they have been getting into penalty troubles lately but I noticed in two or three of these recent games Tim Peel was the ref... coincidence? Not sure. I just don't understand how the team with the puck and dominating possession gets called for 5 penalties but only got 3 in return. Need to clean it up.

Its going to be interesting to see what happens over the next month where they only have 13 games left and not much to play for other then lock up the 1 seed in the east.

I hope they lock up the Atlantic, stay healthy, try some new wrinkles, stay healthy again and get ready to hit their stride going into the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see what Yzerman does. My seats at Amalie are by the press/front office box and he has been to 20+ games of the 30 that I have been to this year so he is around the team and in Tampa. They just had some articles down here in Tampa about Yzerman and Briebois and their relationship this year and that his position is his if he still wants it after July 1st.

Personally I think he will leave, where ever he goes best of luck to him except when they play the Lightning? Detroit seems like the logical place if he leaves.

Yzerman sold his house and is renting. Not that this means anything but I think he’s outta here. Al Murray is the bigger loss if he goes too

Yzerman is going back home to Detroit, where he belongs. His work is done here. He built a perennial contender and a first-class organization from the janitors all the way up to the coaches. Top flight scouting and development. If Vinik holds all of this together, it will last for a long time after Yzerman is gone. I hate to see him go, but I understand why.

I'd love to see Kuch catch fire over this last stretch and just torch the record books.

I really like when Cooper puts Cirelli and Joseph together. Seems like those two tend to play well with each other.
